Vizio vf550m picture ????

Hi!!!! Im new here with a question about a 55'' vizio. This is whats going on when i turn it on after a sometime, i get horizontal color pin stripes threw the picture...then it clears up after sometime and The picture remains clear after that. So what do you think it could be... t-con board about to go up? Any help would be grateful.

Do you get the problem on any other inputs (hdmi, component...)? Does the problem affect the menu , if you open the menu while the error is happening?

looks to me like the horizontal tab drivers are swaying.

as said ,does it affect the menu?if it does it could be the panel fault

try flexing the screen slightly if it alters the picture then that could confirm it

if the menu isnt affected it could be the t-con board

check voltage to t-con around 5v dc

check voltages from psu outputs against there respective legends written on psu

reseat lvds cable

any signs of visable bloating or leakage from any capacitors?

No problem with all other inputs except tv button a little. AV,COMP was good. HDMI 1 which i have hooked up is showing the problem when watching tv but i cycle threw the other 4 hdmi no problem, Menu looks fine. I have the back off all lights are lit board looked fine no bulging caps. When i twist the panel it doesn't clear up but it will go away after about a hour.

So if you move your TV from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2, does the picture improve?

No had it on hdmi 2 yesterday than i tryed it on 1 last night.... does the same thing, It doesn`t remain like that it will go away after sometime. All options with the remote work fine. When tv is off orange vizio light, when on white vizio light.

Can you try another HDMI source to rule out the source being the fault?

I have 5 i will try the other 3 im about to take off main board shield to check caps.

By source I mean something like a PS3, blu-ray player or computer...

I had it to my xbox and it was doing it. i came across this tv for nothing i took it apart and cleaned it out. is it possible when i took the connectors from the power supply that hook to the boards that turn on backlights criss crossed, forgive me im new at this and willing to learn. I got this tv for free and don't want to put more than i have to in it. I will post a pic how it is now.

The top connector is going to the far left of tv and the next one is going the left near the main board. Or is suppose to be the other way around?

Check all of the PSU outputs match their labels within about 5%.

I have now way of testing the out puts but if i un plug the tv for a hour or more the lines will not come back for about 2 days. everthing else functions well, Do you think it can be a t-com board or the panel. The other day when the lines came up i swithed to another hdmi source which gave me the blue screen to see if the line showed up. They showed up following the signal up and down the screen thats it. I have directv so you know how the signal rotates all around the screen.....the lines follow that image thats it.
