DYNEX DX-32E150A11 No power, LED, or any life

Hey all I'm pat and I appreciate anyone's input on this.

Last week a family friend gave my parents a non-working LCD tv. Last year, I was given a nonworking LCD and it had bad capacitors so it was a simple fix. This tv however is giving my father and I a run for our money. i'm not so great with repairs, but my father is fairly good at all the technicals.

We checked the capacitors, nothing. Fuse looks fine, nothing seems out of place. We tried multiple power cords in multiple wall recepticals and no luck.

Any ideas? I took some pictures in case you may see something we don't. If you need close ups I can retake some.

do you have a vom to check the output voltages? the power supply (brown board) is labeled at coectors as to what they should be. check them first post the voltage listed ad what you actually get.

      I assume you meant connectors?

We're supposed to read 24V at either connector and are reading 0 (zero).

Check the fuse with your multimeter set to OHMs and see if it reads 0.000, if it's more than 1 ohms it's bad. Then with the tv plugged in (not on). Set your meter to DC volts and put a your red probe and black probe on the 2 legs that come from the large cap. I drew a square around it. Be careful not to touch the 2 probes together when you are checking the large cap.

We've got 0.3 OHMs on the fuse.

          large cap reads 167.5 DCV

            That's good.
So the set won't turn on at all? Can you take a clear top and bottom photo of the power supply, larger size? Try and get it 2000 x 2000. You might have to use windows paint to shrink it down.

does the voltage increase on the large cap whrn you try to power it up or stay the same?

Tried to get it as clear as possible so I broke the back into two photos and the front into three. Let me know if I need to snap a certain area

After plugging in it'll hit about 167. Then he discharged it which lowered to 150, but then it goes back to 167 again

it should show an increase when you plug it in because it charges to stby voltage but it should increase agian if it starts up. somewhere near the main cap you should find a 8 legged ic with a small electrolytic cap closeby usually 10 to 47 uf at about 50v or so try replacing it and see if anything changes

I suggest that you plug in all connectors, secure the power supply board with all mounting screws, even though the TV will not power on go ahead and check and record all voltages on both of the white connectors on the PS Board and report them back here.

This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Dell Vostro 3501 - no signs of life after BIOS read
                            by someonenotyou
                            Hi.

I have a laptop Dell Vostro 3501 which did not POST. When connected to power supply and turn it on, the keyboard backlight would turn on but nothing else. Sometimes there was 1 BEEP code indicating problems with BIOS.

Then I disassembled it to read the BIOS chips. It had 2 - 64mbit and 128mbit. I connected CH341A (with 3.3v mod) to both of the chips (still soldered on main board) and read them.

After I reassembled laptop back and tried to turn it on. Now there is no sign of life. Not even keyboard backlight.

Then I took the motherboard out...

I picked this one up today.
Previous owner says no signs of life.
TV looks immaculate and its a 2022 model year so I thought maybe the one connect cable was damaged.
Got it home and put it on the Kill-A-Watt power meter and it was completely dead.

The TV model is QN65LS03BAFXZA - version: CB06
                            The One Connect Box BN44-01066D / BN96-54788Q / BN39-02470A.

I immediately remembered EazyBone's Samsung The Frame TV no power....One Connect thread and am preparing myself to tear the One Connect open and hunt for dead parts.

                            Will keep you all...

                            Hello,

First of all im glad i've found this forum and i'm happy to start learning new things and sharing my knowledge with others!

Long story short : I have a laptop from work that has no power and no signs of life. My first question is: A 90W charger(19V 4.5A) is enough for this laptop? Because the original charger was 19V 6,4A(120W), so all the testing was done with the 90W charger because i don't have a 120W charger.

This being said, i opened up the laptop and i've inspected the MB and the components, everything seems fine, no sings of explosion, burn,...

board it taking just a few mA..i think it was 10mA

i cant really understand what the mosfets in the pictures are doing for crazy things.
i measuered voltage on coils....but now on mosfets near the coils too and they all had more than 10v i think one was there with 8v or something....so...
