this type of board have a lot of problem with frezze logo, or not power on, i came to find out that the problem is in a small eeprom that is close to the center of the board, After you replaced that eeprom the board will start working normaly but some will have the audio problem. Don't know if the problem is related. don't think so, but i don't now much about this thing, just learning.Comment

yes. But the eemproms came from another board that turn on and off. Din't have problem with audio.Comment

I have decided not to look at any more of your posts.
I know you are learning but its just too difficult.
You need to do more reading up on all the posts relating
to Vizio tvs if that is what you are working on.
I can only think you have started out on them as they are cheap - unfortunately they are cheap because they are often impossible to fix.
You need to stop providing some information but not all the information regarding what the boards are, where they are from and what you or someone else may have done to them.
As it is we have to drag every detail out of you and spend time looking for things that are just a waste of time.
Final straw is I have been looking all the time for info relating to a Vizio E420vo. I became concerned when you said you were just swapping eeproms between boards and I now find that the board in your picture in probably not from an e420vo but from an E371VL.
The power supply is also probably from an E371VL or E370VL.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

It has been rather frustrating. I would highly suggest that anyone beginning to learn should first attempt to understand basic electronics theory (there are many resources on the internet) and try to learn and understand as much as possible before asking questions. I feel like it has been a wild goose chase and frankly I'm completely lost now. Sorry for inconvinience. The board in the tv is from a e371vl but is the same board use in the e420v0. I check others comment on vizio but could't find anything that will help me.Comment

I never saw that post you send me budm, sorry i was mad with myself because no matter what i try i could not make it to work and i see you guys helping me but i dont know for how much time on it, so i desided to quit on that tv and buy a new board before you quit on me. when i'm working in a tv i am willing to go as far as you guys don't quit on me. Now everybody is mad at me. I'm just an old man trying to learn what i sure it leaned went i was young. You tell me the rules i follow them. One more thin the reason i did not mention about the board is because idid not think it was important. i have a good board from one of my tv wish is a 371 and i put it on this tv that is a 042 and it worked perfect so i din't think it was important.Comment

I think I'm going to stop answering questions from people who are in it purely for monetary gain and give up on anything which is slightly difficult. The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hello, everyone. A neighbor was throwing this TV away for "not turning on" so I asked for it and they gave it to me for free since Vizio gave them a new TV under warranty.
I'm pretty proficient with electronics in general but this is the first TV I've ever tried to fix. I strongly suspect bad LED lights but figured I'd post some info and see if those of you more experienced with TVs can confirm my suspicion before I move forward. Some photos and measurements below:

Hi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). Hi.
picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...
