Re: NEC Px42VM3A lost all display

170V is the nominal output of the PSU. We're looking for the panel's calibration sticker. Like this:
        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...9&d=1326915294

because each plasma panel is slightly different and the voltage settings must be set properly to ensure a good picture.

Re: NEC Px42VM3A lost all display

I don't see any other labels. I've removed all the circuit boards and looked under them
Those two were the only ones I found

Hmm well normally there'd be a calibration sticker present. Can you measure the Vs voltage and tell us what you get?

What I mean to say is would I use a standard volt/ohm meter and where on the power circuit board would I test to give you a reading.

Re: NEC Px42VM3A lost all display

It'd be on the power supply connectors going to the X and Y-drive. Can you post a close-up shot of that connector, on the power supply end?

I see the L and N but where would the X and Y be and what seting on the ohm meter do you need?

X and Y boards are on the right & left hand side of the plasma panel... It's those brown/white wires. Top of this pic.

on the cables themselves they are marked PD and PH there is a small label with this marking on it.

OK, so you will have to test each pin, red pin on the metal surround around the connector pin, black probe on the chassis of TV, measure on 200V DC range.

Re: NEC Px42VM3A lost all display

OK, so you have good Vs, but I don't see Vd. Vd goes to the vertical driver boards from the sustain boards, and it's generated on the PSU in most cases.

The plasma panel requires Vd to make the display work though you should still see a faint glow. It is possible it derives the other voltages for the sustain board from Vd instead of Vs.

CN7 is on one of the drivers. Next to it there is a label. What does this label show?
