Hi
I've aquired this broken LCD TV,
Plugged in Standby lamp is on and tring the remote or standby switch does nothing. There is a voltage change from the switch pack to the main board when buttons are pressed
Checking the PSU, I had 4 bulged Caps which I have replaced.
Testing the output voltage of the PSU
Connector to the Invertor
4xGrounds
4x23.8 Volts
and the Connector to the Main Board
2xGrounds
2x5.04 volts
1x4.6 volts (Labelled SB)
1x5.04 volts (Labelled 5vSB)
2x5.04 Volts
3xGrounds
1x11.8 volts
I'm sure there is enough power to start the TV
The PSU does not appear to be in standby but nothing works as all the voltages are present.
Is the 4.6 volts to SB correct I'm guessing this is the wire that turns the PSU Standby on and off.
Should I replace the rest of the Caps on the PSU even though my voltages are quite good or do I have another problem with the Main Board
Any advice would be appreciated
Or I'll be chucking it in the bin!!
I've attached some pics of the boards, I'm not sure if they will help, perhaps someone else has had this fault
Thanks!!
