    37mf321d/37 power board interchange

    Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum but have replaced the caps on my power board as described in many posts on here. I could not get the flashing power resolved but noticed on the board that the etching on the board by the TEA chip is actually damaged and not making connection to the chip it's self. I have found a board 31381036294.2 for cheap but my board is a 31381036294.3. Are these two boards interchangeable without further modifications?
    Thanks!
    Mike

Don't know myself. You can look up your model here. The different models a board will fit in that they know about will be posted. Not 100% but a place to start. I would think the last number is the version number. But I could be wrong.

I have checked several parts distributors. Those are not valid part numbers. The part number for the power board in that model TV is 313815864961. There are no subs listed.

Where did you get the part number you are referring to? The periods in the part numbers you are giving also indicate to me that they are not part numbers. Philips/Magnavox part numbers are 12 digits long with no periods.

You should post some pictures of the back of the TV, rear cover removed, and of each board. Also post a good picture of the damaged trace. Trace damage may be repairable.

Maybe this would not be a part number but rather a revision??? 31381036294.3 is on the board I have and 31381036294.2 is on the board I want to purchase. The part number on the board sticker for both boards is 313815864961 I believe (I do not have the board with me right now). Stampings into the board it's self by the heat sink on the edge is where the numbers are different. I have also found 715t2056 1 etched into both boards under the 313 810 36294.x on the edge of the board. I have the repair manual as well and it is not showing any "revisions" to this board that I can find either.
          Thanks,
          Mike

I would say that if BOTH boards have a sticker with the part number 313815864961, then you would probably be fine with using that replacement board.

In the service manual it does reference both boards on page 128 section 11.
              REF Action Item 12NC Description
ALL From 1 313810362942 POWER PCB
              To 1 313810362943 POWER PCB
There does not seem to be any difference in the boards and no different circuit board schematics are shown in the manual
