• Re: Magnavox 37mf321d/37 Powers off for 5 seconds

Yeah...I bought it, for that price could just take a chance. I'll post up if that actually is a true replacement....

Yes, I saw that too but it's a non working board. I also found this too http://www.ebay.com/itm/Philips-313815866271-31381036284-3-Scaler-Board-/262827807860?hash=item3d31c21474:g:t14AAOSw241YjRcb which is a 31381036284.3 but the sticker barcode is same as mine 313815866271. Also found this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Main-Board-313815866861-31381036284-Philips-LCD-TV-26MF231D-37-/322098411938?hash=item4afe8fb9a2:g:tTIAAOSwiYFXK8kF
The board number is the same as my bad one but the barcode does...

That is one of the sites I checked. They of course no longer have either board available. I am also noticing the boards are used in everything from a 26" to 47" TV but mine has a 37 hand written on one of the white pads others I am seeing have 32 written...Wondering if that makes a difference???
Thanks for the suggestion!...

Hey guys. Been forever since I've been on here. Two kids later, a grandchild and a job change later, I'm back at fixing this same issue. I want to get this TV working for my son for his house. I have determined the issue is the scaler board by swapping it into a working TV and having the same issue. The issue now is the actual board compatibility. My board is a 3138 103 6284.4 and I have a line on a board 3138 103 6284.3. Now when I check on parts interchange and with Magnavox/Phillips they cross reference each other. Does anyone...

• Re: Samsung HP-S4253 Plasma Screen Problems

I'm a newbe here so not real sure of how the screen would burn in like that from a local weather forecast...shows the 9News logo at the bottom left and temp and humidity up higher on the left side of the screen...not sure that is an image that stays on the screen for an extended period of time.
Thanks,
Mike...

Yes, thank you. That's what I found when I adjusted those. There is another POT on the board as well that cleared up my sparklies that were flickering about the screen....

• Re: Samsung HP-S4253 Plasma Screen Problems

Update here. I checked and adjusted the Vs and Va on the SMPS main board at 197 and 65 respectively.
I also checked and adjusted the Vscan, Vset, Ve on the SMPS DC/DC board to -185, 195, and 120 respectively. These were according to the sticker on the chassis of the TV. It seems that most of the issues are worked out now. The sparklies are gone. I'll have to let it run for a bit to see if heat affects it. I am however now noticing some ghost image of a local TV weather forecast when the TV is displaying lighter/white backgrounds....

• Re: Samsung HP-S4253 Plasma Screen Problems

Thank you...and this is the manual I have. I saw in there that the two adjustments on the y-main board are to be measured with an oscilloscope however I do not have one. I thought there was a way to verify voltages on the board. There is also another adjustment POT on the board but I have not found what that one is for as of yet.
Thanks again,...

• Samsung HP-S4253 Plasma Screen Problems

Hey All,
I picked up a Samsung HP-S4253 Plasma for cheap that was only powering on for about 2-3 seconds then shutting off. I replaced the swollen caps on the power board and it now fires up and stays on.
The picture is having some issues though now. Some times it has sparklies in it and some times the picture will show very grainy. There were also green and red pixel patches showing up before adjustments.
I measured the Vs and Va and set them dead on at 197 and 65 as listed on the sticker. It did not make a huge difference but it is a little better now. On the y-main board...

That sounds like a bummer...Some times you win some times you don't. Guess I can part it out. Seems like the LCDs are in the $120 range.
Thanks all for your advice and insight!...

Is the t-con board the same as the main A/V board on this set. The ones I have seen before have a separate t-con board.

Now...not sure this is relevant but when I disconnect the cable from the main A/V board the display shows completely lighted up. Would that still be the panel? I thought if it was the panel only the upper 1/3 would show lighted like it is when it has an input.
Thanks again......

• JVC LT-22DE72 only 1/3 of display shows up

Hi All,
I'm fairly new here but since joining the forum I have fixed about 6 LCDs with new capacitors diodes and resistors. Once I did have to get a new board however.
This time I got a JVC LT-22DE72 that only displays the upper 1/3 of the screen. I have had this problem with laptop displays in the past and commonly it was a cable that needed replaced or reseated.
The display fully lights up when the video board to inverter board cable is unplugged. Sound and the image at the top 1/3 of the screed looks good. No obviously bad capacitors or any other burn marks on any of...

• Re: Magnavox 37mf321d/37 Powers off for 5 seconds

New update...
The board was cleaned and installed and torqued properly. I installed the heat sink properly and the TV still had the same symptoms.
I then went into the service menu 0,6,2,5,9,6,info and looked for errors. No errors, I then checked Defective module and none. I then did the Reset error buffer an don't really know if I did it properly because it did not show any progress but for 4 days running for at least 3 hours at a time no shut offs. I did the Reset by going to the menu then start now then ok. Is this...

• Magnavox 37mf321d/37 Powers off for 5 seconds

Hey All,
I'm working on my 3rd Magnavox that had power up issues that I had fixed with the help of the forum. Thanks guys!!!
This last one powers up now and have a good picture. Everything works well but it will randomly click off for 5-6 seconds and then power right back up on it's own. With a cold TV it will go for at least half an hour to 45 minutes maybe longer before this problem happens and it may happen every 5 minutes or every 20 minutes. It happens with the cable 75ohm, HDMI, composite, and Component inputs. It seems to be a heat issue. I have isolated the problem to the...

• Re: 37mf321d/37 power board interchange

In the service manual it does reference both boards on page 128 section 11.
REF Action Item 12NC Description
ALL From 1 313810362942 POWER PCB
To 1 313810362943 POWER PCB
There does not seem to be any difference in the boards and no different circuit board schematics are shown in the manual

• Re: 37mf321d/37 power board interchange

Maybe this would not be a part number but rather a revision??? 31381036294.3 is on the board I have and 31381036294.2 is on the board I want to purchase. The part number on the board sticker for both boards is 313815864961 I believe (I do not have the board with me right now). Stampings into the board it's self by the heat sink on the edge is where the numbers are different. I have also found 715t2056 1 etched into both boards under the 313 810 36294.x on the edge of the board. I have the repair manual as well and it is not showing any "revisions"...

• 37mf321d/37 power board interchange

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum but have replaced the caps on my power board as described in many posts on here. I could not get the flashing power resolved but noticed on the board that the etching on the board by the TEA chip is actually damaged and not making connection to the chip it's self. I have found a board 31381036294.2 for cheap but my board is a 31381036294.3. Are these two boards interchangeable without further modifications?
Thanks!
Mike
