The markings are F4 5D and it's about 4 mm long. This is on a Samsung Y sus board. There are 4 or 5 of these spread around on this board. Google couldn't help.

The markings on the board are D5019 so I don't think it is a zener. The board is LJ-02317A.Comment

F4 5D sitting horizontally is Diode D5019 in series with 10 Ohm resistor, the Zener diode ZD5005 is sitting vertically as shown in the picture in post 1

Thank you all for your very timely help. The diode in question is actually in this photo. The previous shot was a diode with similar markings that I was able to get a clearer view of, so I apologize if that confused things. I lifted one leg of that diode thinking there was a short and the other leg kind of snapped off. If I had been observant, I would have noticed that it is in parallel with that fuse and 5.2 ohm resistor and thus the low reading.Attached FilesComment

Unfortunately, I don't know what I can use to replace it. All I know is that it is a diode. Like I said I need to replace it after the leg snapped off right against the body of the diode.Comment

Duncanbest, I don't know how you came up with that, I looked everywhere, but I am impressed. I'm guessing that a lot of these common parts are made by Chinese companies with unconventional designations. I noticed some MOSFETs with numbers that I couldn't find any information on. I want to thank everyone for helping me out.

This diode is mounted on a Frigidaire electronic oven control PN:316131600. This diode runs hot enough that the PCB is showing slight burn marks (black soot looking area on PCB above the diode). It looks to me to be coming from the body of the diode.
The oven control is 22 years old and still works, but I can't get a new replacement, so I'm doing preventative maintenance and replacing a few parts on it that I think could fail - and this is one of them.
Can any of you identify this diode (see pic) and suggest a replacement that can handle more heat - or if not, can... -
Hi there all.
Troubleshooting an SMPS and I’ve found a SMD diode shorted in both directions. The trouble is it has no identification on it. So what do I replace it with and how do I tell where the anode and cathode is and how to mount the replacement?
It is diode D1 on the image.

While reviewing the a1466 820-00165 board schematics, I came across a diode that I need to identify. The part in question is labeled D2920 (NSR1020MW2T1G), but my problem is that the schematic has the icon for a Zener Diode, but when I look up the part number, I only get results for a Schottky Diode. I don't have much experience with technical schematics at all and this part just so happens to be missing from the board I am trying to fix so I need to get my hands on the correct replacement part.
I have attached both the schematic portion in question and a screenshot of the part... -
smd package .measures roughly 4x2 mm so thinking its DO-214AC markings are SA then under it is 39 .i believe 39 to be the date code .
will see if suggestions are same as what i think it might be .
