    samsung le32A457 showing vivid pinks and greens

    Recently replaced the t-con board on the above mentioned Tv as it had sound no picture. Problem solved but now is showing really bright neon pinks and greens around the image (i.e if a person is on the screen most of them will be neon colours but can also see normal colours.) Have uploaded a pic to help explain. hope somebody can help.
    thanks in advance

    Did you try reseating the ribbon cables already? And also, match the P/N on the barcode sticker of the original to the new one?

      the original t-con board i had did the same thing but as i had changed the 3 amp fuse on the board I just assumed i had damaged the board in some way. i have reseated the cables but still the same.

        Make sure LVDS is good and not pinched either between framing.

        Try a factory reset?
        INFO --> MENU --> MUTE --> POWER
        or
        MUTE --> 1 --> 8 --> 2 --> POWER
        and find the reset option

          Looks like wrong diagnostic. I ran into this changing a mainboard in a 32" Polaroid. If you turn down the brightness and contrast way down but to the point you can still see the screen does it clear up?
          Did I leave the soldering iron on?

            I think TOM66 had this problem similar to what you are having right not, try DRP suggestion, I think that's what Tom did.

              It's a mainboard issue.

                  unfortunatly this didnt work either have put in another main board and still getting the same issue could it be the ribbon cable thats u/s the one from main board to t-con board.Or should I give it up as a bad job.

                    Panel setting needs to be changed. I have seen this on the LE40A656 when panel setting is incorrect for whatever reason.

                    To change panel setting you need to access this page:
                    http://img27.*************/img27/4972/resim003wah.jpg

                    Then select "Control", I think - LVDS setting should be under there. Change it to the other mode (I think there are only two) and see if it fixes it.

                      Tom you are a star
                      There where 3 options
                      1. Default Which is the one causing the problem.
                      2.VESA which was also the same
                      3. JEIDA which cured the problem.
                      Thanks again tom
                      And Thanks to everyone else for your ideas apreciate it.

                        Fantastic, glad that you fixed it.

                        No idea how it got confused in first place - perhaps setting corrupted by whatever caused the T-con to die. (Though Samsung T-cons seem to be unreliable.)

                            I don't think I've had the problem myself but I did deliberately enable "funky colour mode" to test the T-con on the LE40A656.
