    Philips 32PF7320A/37 won't turn on, 7 blinks

    Hi

I've got this Philips 32PF7320A/37 TV that was given to me. When the power cord is plugged in, nothing happens for about five seconds then I hear a click and the power light starts blinking 7 times repeatedly. I have been unable to find out what that blink code is for this model.

I looked at the boards but see no caps that look bad. I replaced all the caps on the power board with Nichicon caps...no joy.

The "click" I hear when plugging it in comes from the component circled in pic 1, and I have tested the 2 fuses indicated in pic 1, they are good. (I hope the pics are good enough. The board is 15" long so I split the pics.)

I don't know where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

Is Ic7001 MC34067P? Can't tell from 100% from the pictures. If it is Check Pin 4 (ground) to Pin 15 (Vcc) and see if it's shorted.

      Thanks, Mr Bill

      yes, it is MC34067P.

With board isolated, pin 4 to pin 15 is open.

With board installed, pin 15 to chassis gnd is 20v, while LED blinks 7x.
When power applied, pin 15 to pin 4 is 15v, which drops slowly to 1.5v after shutdown.

Is there a chassis number on the model number sticker on the back of the TV?

Well, I ended up replacing the power board because it looks like I damaged the board when replacing one of the caps, but I still have the exact same problem. Voltages are still the same also.

I have this TV and I have narrowed the problem down to the scaler board. I am not sure if it can be repaired. It seems it is an overheating issue or the bad component is getting too hot. If I put a fan across the circuits the TV stays on. I am not sure if it will be a good idea to get another scaler board unless I can figure out how to prevent it from going bad. I am thinking maybe a heat sink on the main IC. Even a square copper block tall enough to reach the top cover with heat paste on both ends might do the trick.

It seems to me this TV is not worth fixing so I think I am going to disassemble it and put the panel on eBay for sale.

Philips 55PUS6804/12 turn on & off (probably backlight issue)
                by ovrax
                Hello everyone,

First of all, please excuse me as I'm quite new to this field.

I have a Philips 55PUS6804/12 TV. It turns on and off instantly (backlight flash). I personally think it's a backlight issue (faulty LEDs). Could you help me confirm my diagnosis?

I've checked and the T-CON seems to be fine. I disconnected one ribbon cable at a time at the bottom, but the problem persists.
The Ambilight works perfectly and stays on.

                No sounds.

                Thanks in advance.

MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX (MS-16R6) LAPTOP WON'T TURN ON AFTER RESTARTING
                by RdeveLabs
                To all the members here...

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.

So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But...

Acer Aspire 4520 won't turn on after reboot
                by robante15
Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.

It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.

The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.

                If I remove the...

                by masoksian
                Hi everyone,

I am dealing with the problem of turning on and off my Dell e7470 notebook.

The battery charge light is solid white, I press the button, the power indicator and the light on the button are solid for 1-2 seconds and immediately turn off.

The system does not turn on, there is no post.

I removed the RAMs and changed them, changed the battery, RTC battery, AC adapter, removed them and waited, tried again, it does not turn on.
The problem continues in the same way.
I tried to turn on the Fn key, nothing came to the screen....
