Philips 55PUS6804/12 turn on & off (probably backlight issue)

    Hello everyone,

First of all, please excuse me as I'm quite new to this field.

I have a Philips 55PUS6804/12 TV. It turns on and off instantly (backlight flash). I personally think it's a backlight issue (faulty LEDs). Could you help me confirm my diagnosis?

I've checked and the T-CON seems to be fine. I disconnected one ribbon cable at a time at the bottom, but the problem persists.
The Ambilight works perfectly and stays on.

    No sounds.

    Thanks in advance.

You're probably on the right track, a backlight flash then nothing is a classic symptom of bad led/s.

Here's a similar model, MUST be careful panel looks like its glued or taped down, VERY easy to break unless caution is taken, slow and gentle, good idea to do everything you can to verify on this one. Read the comments, they mention how it's best to replace ALL strips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Qfd-xikbzw

I'm not sure on this model if there should be something on screen when a backlight led is bad but you can try it, shine a flashlight on the screen see if you can detect any text or anything hit menu to see if you detect anything, if you see something that's more evidence that it's probably bad led/s.

you need to measure first PS_ON on the PSU socket if it remain on >3V or go down.. in case go down TV didn't complete boot.. in other words reboot.issue

Thank you all for your messages.
I've ordered the LEDs, I'll proceed with the operation as soon as I receive them and will keep you updated here.
