    Samsung LCD 26" full white screen

    Another possible purchase. Seller says the screen lights up white, but sound works. He's from Bucharest so i can get to see it. I'm thinking Tcon failure? Dunno the exact model but will ask him.

    Sounds like it. How much does he want? You could be lucky and it could just be a fuse. Samsung TVs of the older generation were very prone to blowing the fuse on the T-con.

      I know that you can get a totally white screen if you disconnect the Panel from the T-Con, or the T-Con from the main board - I do this all the time to check the status of the CCFLs. It most likely is the T-Con that has failed.

        Should look up the model number to see if it does have stand alone T-CON or one of those LCD panel with integrated T-CON like they do on the computer monitor, they start doing that to save money.

            Darn. Seems no-one waits for anything in Romania...

            Whatever happened to that Philips plasma anyway?
