Since I do not have the spec on this board, the ERROR signal can be very low, such as 9.3mV = BAD, or it can be good. >3V can mean bad or good. It all depends on the logic voltage the circuits use.
So did you check both fuses on both inverter board yet. Do you also have the LCD panel model number as printed on the sticker, then you can look up the spec sheet which will tell you what kind of voltages you should have on the inverter board and on the T-CON board.
Just tell me what you find on the fuses first. It is so easy to test.
BY the way, the MASTER inverter board is not he same as the SLAVE Inverter board, MASTER has two fuses, SLAVE only has one fuse.

budm, it seems like you are knowledgeable about this topic.

I am getting 9.3mV DC at that terminal ERR

so what does this reading mean?

OK, there are two fuses by the white connector, one is black, one is white, they are labeled on the board with F1, F2. Use your ohm meter and report the resistance reading. do that on both board. I have a feeling the small black fuse is bad.

I already checked all the output voltage from power supply. Found only one low voltage at 3.4v ON terminal.

Now how do I test the main board or inverter? Can you please tell me if you know any tricks?

Here is my left side inverter board. Right one is just like this one.

which dc voltage at which IC I look at?

is there any way I can check the dc/ac voltage with multimeter that is coming from inverter output for ccfl?

Can't tell since you need to find out if the main board is sending out all the correct signals to turn on the power supply, the backlights inverter. That is hwy you have to find out what signal you are missing, right now the PS_ON from main baord is OK otherwise you will not be getting the 24v, 12V power supply outputs.
What DC voltage are you seeing at the I_C pin. The ERR is the signal generated by the Inverter to tell the main board if it has fault on the Inverter board or not.

budm, in your opinion the control board is faulty? power board giving low voltage output where it says 3.4v ON, there I get only 1.9v

do you thing that low voltage has a role in this case?

But are you getting the control signal to turn on the inverter circuits, just think of it this way, you have 120V feeding your desk lamp, but the lamp switch is OFF, then the lamp will not be on, same concept.

What about the other 4 voltages to the inverter? (ERR, DIM, I_C, BRI)

budm I was thinking since my video and sound is ok, mainboard and power supply is also ok.

I am getting 24v into inverter board input terminal.

It is ac about 2000~2500VAC which will blow the meter right away. Why don't you at least check the fuse first and inspect real close to see if you can see any blown components.
The inverter circuit will go into shutdown if the lamp dose not fire up ,does not stay on in the first 3 seconds.

is there any way I can check the inverter board or they are good or bad? Can I check the output from inverter boar which goes to ccfl with a multimeter. I know the voltage is high. Is that ac or dc voltage that is coing from inverter board?

You need to post the pictures of the inverter boards. There are fuses, MOSFET's, PWM IC, transformers that you need to check. For the backlights to be on it needs 24V and the BL_ON or ON/OFF signal from Main board which is routed through the power supply board. Same for the Dimming control signal.

That sounds like your ccfl tubes to me

and both inverter boards must be hooked to get a backlight.

Yes that is the Inverter board on ebay. I can buy both from ebay for a reasonable price. But I want to make sure it is Inverter board not the power supply board that is faulty.

I checked with one inverter at a time hooked up with the board. No sign of back light. Is it possible that my main board is faulty. I get picture with flash light, two second test.

well the tv was working well couple days ago. Had one issue though. Half of the screen was little darker for half an hour at start up. After wamp=up. TV was working very bright and well. So I opened the back to see any faulty connection. I don't know if I shorted anything. Now the tv has no back light. I thing the back light is till good. Has to do something with inverter/power board or main board.

Mostly the inverter boards fail due to ccfls failed two or three will shut down the panel.

    2 seconds to black?

The power supplies are not an issue with any of the 42lg 20,30 or 50 models. All of the failures were inverter, panel issues involving au-optronics panels.

The only boards in this tv that are L/G are the power supply and mainboard.

These tvs have a high failure rate with their mainboards too.

I start with the slave inverter looking for shorted mosfets the do the switching for the inverter transformer.

Look for some other posts here as all of the L/G series have been very similar models using the same panel and power supply with the same problems.

Here is the pictures. Power going to inverter boards and power going to t-con/mainboard

I am getting 24V for inverter board. But they are not firing up. I am also getting only 1.9v for t-con output where it should be 3.4V on

So I want to know if my inverter boards are bad or my power board faulty.

The tv turns on with sound and faint picture can be seen with flash light.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
    by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
    by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
    • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
    • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

[SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
    by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...
