The problem is that there are two boards involve here, the T-CON and the frame rate conversion board. Did you try pricing these two boards yet? This model is not shown in shopjimmy site.
The other thing will be is to probe the signals using the scope to see where the signals from the main board are lost at which board.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a scope. So I may have to see about getting the boards.

Hi Burner. I have the same TV as you (Nuvision NVU52FX5) and likely the exact same problem. Backlight is coming on but no picture, not seeing the menu screen or input selection.

Did you ever figure out what the problem is? Did you end up replacing the boards, and if so where did you get them?

It almost seems like there is a setting stuck in the wrong position, which I was thinking initially because I found it like this after returning home from travel and figured my kids were messing with it.

              Re: Nuvision Nuv52fx5 no picture.

Quick update for anyone interested. My local electronics shop said my TV has a bad "pre-scaler" board. The pre-scaler board is the one marked with "RSAG7.820.1893" in burner's picture. This is actually made by Hisense, a chinese company that likely manufactured these TVs for Nuvision. This board is available on the Ali Express website, it takes a bit of work to find the right seller but once I receive mine I can post the link here for the unlucky few who own this TV and are looking to get theirs fixed.

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
                  by Fly_Among_Stars
                  Hi,
                  I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
                  Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
                  by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
                  by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                  The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
                  by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                  Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                  First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...
