    Toshibia 40rv525u Blinking Power light

Was given this tv It was missing the power board, but i had the original part number. I installed the new board and the power light blinks but no picture.

There is a click heard on the power board that is the same rate as the flash of the power light.

I tested power coming out of the power board to the power switch/video board. Standyby 5v is good when no other boards are connected, but as soon as the video board/power button is connected the voltages pulse with the clicking and blinking of the lights.
Filter Caps measure 170 across both.

Sorry I don't have a camera today, if needed these pictures are the same as what i have.

[Ignore this - I was being silly.] It's not a Vestel chassis. Is it a European or US model?

Re: Toshibia 40rv525u Blinking Power light

Does this appear to be symptoms of a bad power board or an issue with the video board not allowing the unit to fully power on?

EDIT: Shorted pwr pin to 5v standby. Tested all output voltages from power board and all voltages look good.

Can I see the closed up pictures of the connectors on the power supply board so I can see the function of the pins then I may be able to tell you how to do stand alone testing of the power supply board.

Can you read DC voltage for me at P8 pin 4 (PWR) and the chassis when the TV is plugged in but not turn on, and when power switch is activated? Same for PIN 1 (INV).

The pwr pin to ground goes up to 4.5v then to 0 repeatedly. Pin 1 (inv) to ground i get .5 peak then 0 repeatedly. No change when the power button is pressed. The power board is making a sound like it is coming on, the voltage peaks then drops and repeats.

OK, it seems like the PWR on signal is toggling on and off. Put your meter on the 5V Pin and read the voltage when TV is OFF and when TV is on, I want to know what this 5V for the main board is doing steady.

5v goes down to ~1.5 when the unit tries to power on. Power button has no effect.

That 5V should be at 5V at all, it is always on the minute you plug the TV into the outlet. I still need to know if 5V is there BEFORE you hit the power switch, what I am trying to find out is: The main board is loading down the power supply, or the power supply just cannot supply enough power to run the board. This is the replacement you bought?
You can also disconnect the connector to the main board and put 10 Ohms 5watts to load the 5V output for about 1/2A to see if it can handle that.
You can also try replacing the caps in red circles for the 5V power supply section.

The 5v is steady with no other boards plugged in. With the other boards plugged in the 5v is present as soon as the tv is plugged in, but immediately starts fluctuating. (not pressing pwr button)

Try new caps first. This 5V is always running 24/7 the minute the TV is plugged into the outlet, that is why it is called standby or always on power supply. It can fail after all these years being left plugged in 24/7.
Did you also try loading the 5V line with the resistor? We want to make sure you do not have short circuits in your main board that is loading down this 5V power supply.

Those are very good Rubycon caps. Why are you replacing them? They hardly ever fail.

Well I see lots of bad Rubycon caps from my experience also.
Even MAC computers failed due to bad Rybycon caps.

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

So i plug in the charger, amber light starts blinking ,there is 3.3V and 5V present, and 2.4V on the power button, board doesn't turn on, no shorts...
                                          I've tried flashing the bios...

interesting thing is the battery was around 7,8V, and it's 11.1V battery, the mosfet near the battery is open, but not charging,i desoldered it,tested it and it's fine ,but the amber light kept going on the charger so i charged the battery with power supply and got it to about 10.5V...

hello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

LG 39ln540v - red light flashes twice, no power to LED driver?

                                          Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                                          ...

Good day, hope all are healthy and cozy. I could use some help with my malfunctioning Vizio with a blinking power light. I have narrowed the problem to the main board but not sure what to do next. I guess it would be good to start with what I have done.

                                          Problem:
I have no image, no sound, blinking power light. (left it plugged in overnight and it was still blinking the following morning). I tried the Vizio recommendations (hold power button for 30 seconds, press reset button, check the outlet is live)

                                          Power Board:
I am getting 5v only. I have unplugged...
