Should I post my own thread on this?

Any idea's on how the picture is? Would this still be the T-con causing this?

        Thanks

Thanks to this post my 52pfl5704d/f7 ... just went out on me. I was watching the Tv went to the bathroom came back TV was sound no picture. When rebooting the TV it gave me the vertical line colors but only for top portion of the screen.

I took the T-con board off and cleaned with 91% alcohol with very soft toothbrush the entire board gently front and back and ribbon cables both and both ends let dry and also peeled that plastic off that was on the top part of the pads before I reinstalled T-con and shield and TV works fine now.... fingers crossed on how long it will last

has anyone figured out how the voltages get from the fuse to the regulator ic201
if I have 12v on both sides of the fuse - but 0volts on all pins of ic201 -I lifted the pins and still no voltages, does anyone have the schematics for this t-con?
after the fuse on the way to ic201 there has to be a diode, ic, or transistor.

                      That is one expensive T-CON:

Do you also get the 12VDC on the positive legs of those two electrolytic caps next to the fuse? Or on other electrolytics caps on that board.
What is the P/N of that IC201?

That inductor and the other 3 smaller inductors (with 10 nad 22 on top) are for the switching power supplies.
There is IC under that grey square next to those two caps is probably the SMPS IC. You need to see if you can get the P/N to look up the specsheet for it.

This is a complete list of components that are included in a repair kit sold by someone on eBay. For people that can source the components, they could probably beat the $30+$10shipping (usd) cost. Just thought I'd help other people that have been having trouble getting this expensive t-con board.

Does it anyone have any updates on how to repair the no voltage in the ic201? I have 12v on both sides of the fuse as well as voltages on the 2 caps closest to the fuse, BUT no voltage in all the rest of the caps.

Any suggestions as to where I can check?

You will have to run the traces back from ic201 with meter in diode beep mode till you find problem
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

I took off ic201 and the pads are not shorted.

I'm wondering if anyone has any input as there is a ic on the backside that control the power (ic200, part number THINE THV3056). Shop jimmy is selling a repair kit that has this ic, plus ic201 and the fuse.

                                  Could this be the solution?

with the tv on, I have 11.9v on pin63. I also get 11.9v on pins 62 and 64.

So I took the chance that the tcon would repair this tv that I picked up for free. i got the tcon and installed it but now I have an issue with the screen where the left side of the screen does not display properly. I am wondering if it is a bad connection to the cable or do you think the panel is gone? I have played around with the cable connection to the tcon but it doesn't seem to do much.

                                        Any ideas?

Got the same thing! I ordered a T-CON board on Ebay and replaced it but now I have no screen at all! Tried to put back the old T-CON board, still the same, no image. Also, sometime, the TV click, backlight up then goes off two time. Some other time, it goes on then off then on again and stays on. Can anyone help?
