When I put the TV input on HDMI connected from my laptop and just have the left T-con cable in facing the Tv that side shows a quarter of a white screen and the rest vertical lines with no picture at all
with the Right T-con cable in (facing the TV) and with the TV input on HDMI i get a picture, but with the last quarter of that screen has vertical lines

I also notice when I have just the left side T-con cable connected when I 1st power up the TV those line are very thin like one string every few inches apart and about 6 of them. And as soon as I hit the menu button that's when the new vertical line show up on the far left of screen and some flicker a littleLeave a comment:

When I disconnect the Left cable from T-con(facing the back of TV).......but left side has those vertical lines towards the middle left but produced a NEW set of vertical lines at the far left of screen as well(facing front of TV)
When I removed the Right cable from T-con(facing the back of TV) there was no change same vertical line on the far right of screen(facing front of TV)

Nope no dice, same issue no change. grrr not sure if it's a T-con issue or cables to the T-con...but it's probably just a dead panel :-(Leave a comment:

I have checked and cleaned all cables, they looked to be seated correctly. The bottom driver boards looks good and now issues when I touch them no change on the lines. I did notice when I hit menu or something on the remote there is a vertical line that flickers in /out a lil. Is there a chance the cables to the T-con may have a short in them? or would the main board cause an issue?Leave a comment:

I haven't Checked the bottom cables at all. The picture cleared up once I removed the Left side drivers. I will check and recheck all cables when I get home from work here in a few. Thank you for the input BudwickLeave a comment:

Hello, Glad to see this still up as I have been following this and re-read it so many time.....I have a LC-70LE650U that I have been trying to bring back to life due to a bad panel fault and thanks to this post I was hoping it could be fixed/saved, but I'm not sure if it can be fixed now....as I have multi color vertical lines towards the middle and far Right side. I have brought a T-con board(Ebay) posted as removed from a cracked TV, but when I put that T-con board in after the removal of the side driver boards I dont get a pic/image of anything...Leave a comment:

I'm not sure about how much they require. I got the TV from a guy($20 bucks) who said sound no picture, so when I got it home and did the flashlight test I figured I would just have to change the led driver, but once opened up notice there wasn't one. Did a quick Google search and the Toshiba website popped up with people with this model having the same issue and the Tech said replace the pwr board, so I found one on ebay cheap so I took that gamble. then after seeing your post on here I tested the L1+ and L2+ and notice the same...Leave a comment:

I just had an issue with this same TV/model .. mine would flash the back lights for a hot second then nothing, you could see the image with a flash light. I tested the PSB and L1+ and L2+ were only giving 77.5v. I brought a used PSB of ebay for $31 and replaced the board and TV powered right up... back lights work fine now. I retested the L1+ and L2+ and now they are pushing out 117vLeave a comment:

Thanks to this post my 52pfl5704d/f7 ... just went out on me. I was watching the Tv went to the bathroom came back TV was sound no picture. When rebooting the TV it gave me the vertical line colors but only for top portion of the screen.
I took the T-con board off and cleaned with 91% alcohol with very soft toothbrush the entire board gently front and back and ribbon cables both and both ends let dry and also peeled that plastic off that was on the top part of the pads before I reinstalled T-con and shield...Last edited by dcaron614; 01-29-2015, 10:06 AM.Leave a comment:

No luck on the top tabs, rubbed my finger across them and I didn't notice any change, but when I rubbed my finger across the lower tab or whatever that's called on the bottom right side where the problem is i did see it flicker/change but not enough to correct the problem. so is it safe to safe the TV panel is beyond repair or did I not check the top tabs correctly?

Hello, I have a Samsung Ln52A650A1F and I'm not sure what could be the issue with this, The picture is only bad at bottom of screen but stretches across the whole screen but seems really bad on lower right side seems blurry red. I have tried resetting all cables from the Tcon still no luck. Any ideas or is this just a non fix TV/panel ?... -

Hello, I have a Samsung LN40B530P7N tv that has a terrible picture display I have been reading and only found 2 listing on this forum about this tv and the issue that it maybe having I have tried more than a few things without replacing anything yet, but can't seem to get it working. and I could not get into the service menu screen that was listed/shown that is suggested in the post by hitting "mute 1,8,2 and power" and Look for options marked LVDS format which i could not find... here below is what the screen picture looks like...plus i disconnected one side at a time on the t-con board...Last edited by dcaron614; 04-25-2014, 05:26 PM. -
