Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Usually the buttons go to the main board. On some Samsung TVs they go through the IR board. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Looks like the lowest connector on the left side of the main board is for the buttons (among other things). I removed it and no change. I am ordering a new main board later and will let you know what happens. Thanks for all the help so far!Comment

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Got the new main board, installed and got the power on chime. However, there is no picture and no response when pushing menu on either the tv or the remote.
Also, it powered on and off and played the chimes for both a few times and then would power on but not off. Just to see, i put the old main board in and it now powers on (but not off) also.
What else is left? The logic board?Comment

Did you turn off the "Melody" option from the menu on your TV?
Is the main board the -exact- replacement part (each digit must be correct... Samsung TVs are very picky about their main boards, often even different size screen boards won't work.)
The logic card is the only possibility left. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
I only mentioned the chime because that means that it actually turned on and was not stuck in that loop. it wasn't playing the chime before but it was supposed to.
I do see that the tv model number on the new board is missing an "a" at the end, but the part number is exactly the same. Trying to contact the place I got it from to make sure it's the right one.Comment

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
You may be able to call Samsung's Technical Support line and make an order for parts - but I've never done it myself. I suspect they may want only TV technicians to call the line, but it's worth a shot. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
I haven't heard from the place I bought from and I didn't think anything of this before, but the old board is blue and the new one is green, same exact part number though. Trying to find out if it matters.Comment

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Often the board colour indicates its type - newer Samsung TVs use blue main boards, green panel stuff (T-con on LCD, Logic/Ysus/Zsus on plasma) and white/beige for PSU. It probably indicates it was an earlier revision so it might be the problem. Did you pay via PayPal/card?Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Do you have to set the new board up in the service menu - panel size/ makePlease upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
While I'm waiting for the other main board, does anyone know about that troubleshooting flow chart posted earlier in this thread? It says if LED is normal to check SMPS voltages Vs, Va, Ve, Vset. Where are those?Last edited by noahc72; 05-22-2012, 11:38 AM.Comment

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Like you tested the PS-On if you look at the other connectors you may find them labelled similarly. If not just start at pin 1 and measure voltage on each pin.
If your meter is autoranging just put on DC or if its not better satrt at 200vDC
as some should be 75-100 vPlease upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Vs and Va are on the main power connector from PSU.
Vs is around 170 - 210V.
Va is around 55 - 70V.
Both are needed for the plasma panel to light.
Vset etc. aren't so important - if they are missing picture will be there but very poor. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Samsung PN58C7000 wont power up
Oddly, now that it's not stuck in that loop trying to power on the PS_ON looks correct ~5.25 steady with the original main board. Still no picture and you can't turn it on or off except by unplugging or plugging it in.Last edited by noahc72; 05-22-2012, 02:25 PM.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by Journey11Hi All,
First time posting here ... my name is Kevin but my friends call me Journey.
I have a Samsung 75" LCD model UN75RU8000FXZA that I don't remember the original fault other than it wouldn't power up anymore.
After it sat for many month's I decide to look at it again. The motherboard seemed to have power regulation issues. After much fussing I decided to just get a new MB.
It came a few days ago and I installed it now just cycles the power relay on and off ... when on the backlights light up and then dim and then relay kicks off and the whole things starts again.... -
by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
by cheeky2This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets... -
I am trying to repair my Samsung Chromebook Pro. There is no boot. Upon turning on, the screen is blank and there is no backlight. Power LED is blue. I tried refresh with power and esc refresh with power with no avail.
When I measure the 1.2V rail, it is pulsing. It will jump from 0 to 1.2V then 0 again. I replaced the 2 MOSFET and even power management IC and it is the same. Resistance from midpoint between mosfet to ground is 0.5 kOhm but it will show 250 Ohm first before jumping to 0.5 kOhm. So it feels like it was charging up some capacitor. Since MOSFET and IC was replaced, I... - Loading...
