I had the same problem with my Samsung PN58. Changing the main board fixed the cycling problem on mine, although now I have a different problem.
Haven't tried this test pattern trick yet, but I will try it later today.Leave a comment:

There are actually 2 green fuses on the y board and 2 on the x. One where the power comes in and one where the control cable connects. All of them check out ok.Leave a comment:

My y board is a quite different, but there is a F5000. Looks ok.

I actually think one was coming on when I started this. It definitely hasn't been since I started switching out parts though. I have a replacement logic control board coming sometime this week. We'll see if that works.Leave a comment:

I don't see any fuses on the main boards. Also I mentioned before that the ps_on doesn't look right - 3.25 in standby and 0.12 on. Same with both main boards.Leave a comment:

When you asked if I replaced the control board were you talking about the main board or logic board?
Right now I have 2 power boards and 2 main boards. I have tried all possible combos and the results are the same. I also have a replacement logic board on the way.Leave a comment:

Control board = main or logic board? I did replace the main board.
