Philips 32PFL6606T 32" LED no back light

hi folks, i havent picked this up yet so not sure wether its gonna be an easy fix or not, but the tv switchs on and sound and picture are ok but there is no back light

anyone know what i should check? as in component wise that could cause this, apart from the obvious i.e. fuses on panels and caps on power board

hi guys ive just got this to pieces and im not sure what to check? can anyone help me? the tv works but there is no led back light

output voltages against there legends first.are they what they supposed to be?

right then....ive just tested it by switching it on and off, and when the philips logo appears the screen does light up a little, this would suggest settings, does anyone know how to factory reset this set?

i havent got a clue what there suppose to be, but can check them, what sort of voltage will be on the output for the led back light?

have a look next to the connectors,either marked there or on the reverse of the board,ie 5vstb,ps-on,12v,24v etc etc,if there arnt any markings you will need the schematic for the tv

Philips Service Menu Method 1 Press the {0}, {6}, {2}, {5}, {9}, {6} & {MENU} buttons on the remote.
Philips Service Menu Method 2 Press the {0}, {6}, {2}, {5}, {9}, {6} & {INFO} buttons on the remote.

Philips Service Menu Method 3 Press the {1}, {2}, {3}, {6}, {5} & {4} buttons on the remote.

Philips Service Menu Method 4 Press {0}, {6}, {2}, {5}, {9}, {6} & {OSD/STATUS/INFO} buttons.

this is the connector no voltages

its really hard to see anything on the tv but ill try the service menu see if i can factory reset

if the back light is lighting a little on the philips screen is this a good sign?

cant see any menus or anything on the screen even with a torch on it, only thing is when the philips logo pops up

on your picture of the power supply ,the connector on the right hand side has voltages on it,i can just see them,what do they say?is it just a flash on the screen for a couple of seconds or does it last longer?

ye comes on for a couple of seconds with the philips logo then goes off

looking now for voltages

think ive uploaded same one twice, only voltages are on the other connector

ok,the cn 4 is your main outputs to everywhere else ,the white lead is pin 1,the rest go from 1 to 14,measure those voltages ,write them down,using your black lead on a ground screw and red to each pin,(dmm switched to dc 200v or just above 20v if your dmm can do) ,with power lead plugged in but tv not switched on ,they should read zero,apart from a 3.3v or 5v standby,if all is good power the tv up fully then recheck, all voltages should be there

rest are 0v

push your probe (red) in the top of the connector it will contact the terminal

bl-on = 12v
stb or standby = 5v
write all the pin numbers down,with what they represent with there voltages next to it
1,bl-on = 12v
2,stb or standby =5v etc etc
get the idea?
