Re: Dead Sanyo DP26648 logic board, need service manual.

The television is fixed and the owner has it and is using it. Thanks for all the help guys. The LVDS cable you sent Cashkennedy was different. However, most of the wires were the same. I looked at it and noticed what I did wrong. When the cable got ripped out, the purple wire was put in the wrong place by me.

I used the original cable. I found pictures of LVDS cables from different Sanyo TV's that where close. I couldn't find one for the TV I was working on, but all of them had the purple wire in the same spot. I'm thinking that perhaps the broken logic board I have now would work....maybe I should try selling it as parts. I didn't dare test it though. It was scary enough trying the old LVDS cable again.

    Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for the great news, too bad with so many mishaps, but that is how you learn, glad that cashkennedy has the spare board and parts for your TV, how lucky is that?

A2681 M2 MacBook Air Dead Logic Board
          by yuuki47
          Hello...

My sister purchased an M2 MacBook Air a year and a half ago. While she was using it a week ago, it randomly shut off and no longer powers on. There are no signs of life and not even the MagSafe indicator LED lights up.

We took it to Apple and they disconnected the battery and tried a bunch of stuff before they declared the logic board "brain dead" and quoted us about £567 to replace it. Typical of them...

eBay replacements run about £367 with the Touch ID sensor included.

I did consider to probe the logic board for shorts...

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
          by double_DD
          Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
          by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

Will I have a bricked logic board after reflow of the GPU v-core U8900 chip on my Mid-2012 15" Retina Macbook pro?
          by korben_dallas
Hi everyone! I'm trying to fix my black screen / failed U8900 GPU v-core on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15" Retinaby doing a rework/reflow of the chip (once I determine that's the real issue; but it likely is).

I've been disabling the GPU in NVRAM for a few years... but it's just time for a better solution.

I'm new to soldering but the only feasible way to fix this issue is to do something myself.

          MY QUESTION:
I've been seeing some people (on this forum mostly) run into issues with the logic board needing a serial number or it being deactivated (?)...
