The only problem you might have is the 32" LCD is 1366x768, but most older LG plasma displays are 1024x768. It might be good enough to enter a service menu, though.

Enter the service menu by pressing MENU on the TV at the same time as MENU on the remote.

I know that the samsungs can be changed in the service menu to tell the board what screen size to run but am not sure if the same can be done with this model .
I am sure one of the more experienced posters will be able to tell you but have found a service manual which i have attached

Ok do the same with the other regulators and then post your findings on here that might help work out what's going on.

Ok these Voltage regulators supply the board with the different voltages that each different component needs. What we need to do is ensure that they all have power and they they are outputting the correct voltages for the circuits to work correctly.

Below is the spec sheet for the first number you provided. What we need you to do is to tell us what voltage you are getting on each of the pins. You can use the metal tab at the top of the regulator to put your black probe and then test each of the pins with your red probe.

The best way of seeing whats going on with your mainboard is to check the voltage regulators like Budm asked. The picture is not clear enough for us to really tell you where they are so if you take a look at the picture below. I think yours will look like this. Can you find them and let us know the numbers off them please.

Have you tried pointing your remote at it and pressing some buttons to see if the light flashes?

no nothing both the 5 volts on the psu have 5 volts checked them twice now also on the very bottom of the main board it has 1 connector i have just tested the point on the board thats stamped 5 volts its there when the sets plugged in following this wire back it goes to the led borard on the bottom of the set and then by wires up to the power momentery switch board.
just looked at the connection on the bottom of the main board they say
    led r
    led g
stby 5v this i have when sets plugged in

    key2

That is not normal, since the standby power supply is always on to run the micro controller, the 12v/24v power supplies are switched on when power switch is activated.
So when you hit the power switch, nothing happens?

The LED's on the tv will be power from the mainboard. So you should have voltage going to the mainboard which should power up the LED and send an on signal back to the power supply to turn it on.

Here is a pretty crazy one.

    Step 1.
Laptop was brought to me as dead not working. Removed everything , cleared everything.
    Step 2.

Some liquid damage close to the Type - C connector, and the connector even though it was cleaned wasn't charging the battery . Removed the Type-C port, and replaced it. Now the laptop turns on and charges battery. Shows external screen , not internal.
    Step 3.

Took out the screen and checked it to a secondary Gen 2 i have, screen works like a charm.
    Step 4.

Lets ,dive into the board. I see the edp cable on the...

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
    by double_DD
    Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

now i have got 5v stby,, 3.3v stby, 3.3v power, 1.8v power and no short on them
but the ps5 is dead again : 1 beep, near 10 seconds with power lines and then off, no blue light ...

i don't see any projection of liquid metal on pcb.

Hi there, I need help with the diagnostic on this board (NM-D563 Rev2.0).

I could not find schematics nor boardview for it.

The laptop was working, playing game when it suddenly crashed. Thermal paste is good and fans are clean. Since then, when power gets plugged in the laptop tries to come on (led lights light up, on off button lights up CPU and GPU warm up) for a minute or so before shutting down. No Display, no beeps no flashing led

There's no liquid damage. I've checked the board under the microscope and can't find any damaged components. I've checked...

    Chieftec GPS-450-AA with dead 20N60C3
    by zunasthegreat
Hello everyone hope all doing well!
I have this PSU (GPS450-AA delta oem) around for like 4-5 years and I had it recapped early 2020 or 2021 with mostly UCC KY and Nichicon PW's. The bulk was and still is fine, the original Ltec's were bloated and empty. The previous issue was some major coil whine noise and at times random shutdowns when going idle. Today it started tripping the mains breaker and I think I have dead APFC mosfets (20N60C3). Right now upon checking I have the Q1 and Q3 FETs dead so far and I guess those are responsible for the PFC circuit. The only thing I care is If there...
