    Lenovo Legion7 16ACHg6 no post

Hi there, I need help with the diagnostic on this board (NM-D563 Rev2.0).

I could not find schematics nor boardview for it.

The laptop was working, playing game when it suddenly crashed. Thermal paste is good and fans are clean. Since then, when power gets plugged in the laptop tries to come on (led lights light up, on off button lights up CPU and GPU warm up) for a minute or so before shutting down. No Display, no beeps no flashing led

There's no liquid damage. I've checked the board under the microscope and can't find any damaged components. I've checked the power at the dc mosfets and I get 20V. I've checked all the coils and have no obvious short. Coils on the CPU read 7 Ohms and get 1.1V, Coils for the GPU read 0.7 Ohms and 0.7V. The CPU warms up faster than the GPU. The behaviour of the board remains the same whether in the laptop with everything plugged in or out with nothing plugged in (even Ram or the battery)

Am I looking at a dead CPU? What should be my next step?

    Thanks!

    Lenovo Thinkpad T480: dead CPU?
    by mkdj
    Hello,
Can you help me troubleshoot this laptop?

    Model: Lenovo Thinkpad T480
Symptoms: When pressing the power button, powers on : power button is lit, the fan starts spinning, but it stops after a few seconds. Then the fan starts again, very fast. No picture. Same behavior with or without battery (which is charging fine by the way).
    Current drawn:
    - when plugged in and powered off, without battery : 45mA @ 19.9V
    - when I press the power button, current jumps to 620mA, then goes up fast to 1.3A, and stays at 1.3A. Fan spins very fast.
