just posted some pics up not very good though will get better tomorow dont know if you can see voltage regs to point out to me?
    this is the exact board

0 volts just re read what you had put so just tested it.
how i tested the new psu was just to connect a 1k resistor at pin 5 volt stby and ps on tested all voltage points at the psu connectors marked 24 volts 12 volts etc etc all correct.
so we are not getting the ps on signal from the main board
cant post pics up untill tommorow when i get mates camera but tell me what you want tested i will try to do it will post a pic up from my old camera as a idea of the main board for you

No resistor attached, we just need to find out if you are getting the PS_ON signal from the main board, which I thought in the earlier post we had the PS_ON signal when you tested it. So you need to connect eveything back together.

just to confirm i am testing this by placing a 1 k resistor as a load on the stby 5 volt pin and the ps on pin on the psu connector with no other connector connected just the mains lead i will take a voltage check in a min for you.
so i am not turning the tv on these voltages are from just the 1k resistor link across the pins
    reads 2.92 volts

So what DC voltage do you get on PS_ON pin when you turnn the TV on?

right a little update still have problems i managed to get a good working psu of a member on here but still have problems this is what i have done reassembled the set up with new power supply still dead no led on front nothing removed all connectors on the psu board except the mains lead put a 1k resistor on the stby 5.volt and ps 0n and got all the correct voltages on the psu board ie 12 volt 24 volt and a few other different volts but all spot on with board markings so now i persume the fault is on the main board? the one with the tuner on. will get some pics tomorrow for you. any ideas guys what to check next?

That is normal. A regulator needs to be tested with an applied voltage. Replace it on the power supply board and test it later when the bridge rectifier arrives.

before i order some fuses for the power supply are they fast or slow blow type?

ordered the 2 items bridge rectifyer and 1 diode will put in as soon as they come and retest the supply.

We are so close to find out why you are not getting the VCC to the PFC IC. Hopefully not much more damage is done to the original problem.

should of said can the uf1007 diode be replaced with in4007 as got loads of these here.

Here is a pretty crazy one.

    Step 1.
Laptop was brought to me as dead not working. Removed everything , cleared everything.
    Step 2.

Some liquid damage close to the Type - C connector, and the connector even though it was cleaned wasn't charging the battery . Removed the Type-C port, and replaced it. Now the laptop turns on and charges battery. Shows external screen , not internal.
    Step 3.

Took out the screen and checked it to a secondary Gen 2 i have, screen works like a charm.
    Step 4.

Lets ,dive into the board. I see the edp cable on the...

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
    by double_DD
    Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

    hello guys,

    i need help to repair a edm-033 ps2
history : as always hdmi port and usb ports destroyed after unplugged
after change them, ps5 dead too : 1 beep, no blue light. after inspection 1.8v power was shorted, and because of dead panasonic chip. after remove it : no short anymore
    so i changed it
now i have got 5v stby,, 3.3v stby, 3.3v power, 1.8v power and no short on them
but the ps5 is dead again : 1 beep, near 10 seconds with power lines and then off, no blue light ...

i don't see any projection of liquid metal on pcb.

Hi there, I need help with the diagnostic on this board (NM-D563 Rev2.0).

I could not find schematics nor boardview for it.

The laptop was working, playing game when it suddenly crashed. Thermal paste is good and fans are clean. Since then, when power gets plugged in the laptop tries to come on (led lights light up, on off button lights up CPU and GPU warm up) for a minute or so before shutting down. No Display, no beeps no flashing led

There's no liquid damage. I've checked the board under the microscope and can't find any damaged components. I've checked...

    Chieftec GPS-450-AA with dead 20N60C3
    by zunasthegreat
Hello everyone hope all doing well!
I have this PSU (GPS450-AA delta oem) around for like 4-5 years and I had it recapped early 2020 or 2021 with mostly UCC KY and Nichicon PW's. The bulk was and still is fine, the original Ltec's were bloated and empty. The previous issue was some major coil whine noise and at times random shutdowns when going idle. Today it started tripping the mains breaker and I think I have dead APFC mosfets (20N60C3). Right now upon checking I have the Q1 and Q3 FETs dead so far and I guess those are responsible for the PFC circuit. The only thing I care is If there...
