Rubber gloves and wellies!!
Set your meter on 600volts DC - Red positive lead on positive leg of capacitor and black negative lead on negative leg of capacitor. Put the meter where you can easily see it without moving.
Just looked at your meter DC is the Flat bar with 3 dots under it and the V. Take care as I notice the
probes are broken and possibly cracked? For this voltage Id tape them up a bit.Leave a comment:

Re: Acoustic solutions LCD26761HDF no backlight
Set meter to 1000V or closest range >=500V.Your wanting me to get blown up lol..how am i testing this safely..thx
Am i black probe to ground screw and red to + leg of big cap..thx

heres my borrowed multimeter..thx
Red lead on one terminal black on the other.
Nothing touching ground and don't touch the cap yourself or you'll find out that it hurts a lot.Leave a comment:

On the schematics ive attached that IC802 is a IRF7314 but i dont know owt about schematics..thx

Sorry for measuring white pin out not properly 1-27From the underside the 1st smd from the black connector is D861 a small black diode im presuming?this reads 806 one way & 198 the other..if this is a diode im guessing this is faulty right?..ive tested the other small smd black diodes & readings 1 way & stays on 1 the other..thx
Tested that diode with my fluke as i tested it prior with my cheapy multimeter..readings from .OL it gives 1 beep & .208 the reverse .722
The only markings on that D861 is AP..thx
Ive found this while googling does it help till i can chase a decent camera thx..it was in another tv forum & said it was same layout..thx

Desoldered that schottky readings are same sequence as 1st testOne of those pin on the White connector with double-row pin on the right side of the P.S. board will be for PS_ON signal input from the main board, but since the board is not labeled, it will be hard to trace out the connections.
The red wires on the balck connector on the left side of the board will be the 24vdc out put.
I agree with Tom66, the good clear pictures of the bottom side of the board may help us tracing out the connections.

The STPS20S100CFP is a power schottky, see here: https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...b186bda3b6.pdf
Post a picture of the underside of the board.
It is probably 24V.Leave a comment:

Re: Acoustic solutions LCD26761HDF no backlight
Are there any labeling on the white pin to the right of the power supply board? The one on the top left is for the 24vdc, dimm, and Backlight_ON connectionS which goes to the inverter board.Leave a comment:

by triplefourthis tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even... -
by DanPokaI bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...-

by Comp_ProHello all,
Am trying to figure out this backlight issue with this A1990 Macbook Pro.
Tests performed:
There is no backlight even with a good screen.
Backlight IC is receiving the correct support voltages.
Fuse F8400 ok
Current sense resistor R8400 ok
Backlight IC is receiving 3.3V on enable pin.
Backlight IC receiving voltage from PPBUS_G3H, aprox 12.5V.
Backlight IC receiving 5V from PP5V_G3S
Backlight IC BKLT_SCL and BKLT_SDA both measure 0.545V diode mode to ground
I2C_BKLT_SCL and I2C_BKLT_SDA both measure... -
by jimbofzHi this oldie had no backlight .after replacing caps on 24v rail ,

by cheebsterHello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.
