If it was my set I'd put small heatsinks on all the IGBT's etc for good measure...

Re: Panasonic TX-P42ST31B 7blinks
Ive rubbed them hard with IPA n logo fine..Ive installed the 2 R6015ANX n fuse in PSU n now have 230v then ramps down to 216v then slowly decreases..so PSU now good..
Ive got a bulb tester with croc clips attached n a 150w bulb..do i have to cut into vsus cable half way n run in series or just clip onto white connector on SN board..thx...Last edited by sienoki; 12-24-2016, 08:51 AM.

Re: Panasonic TX-P42ST31B 7blinks
Ground lug on Sn board to white connector gives constant beep on 1 leg and OL on the other leg and thats the same with tv chassis being the ground..so the SN board is still shorted right?...

Panasonic TX-P42ST31B 7blinks
Thought id try n fix this set for a friend..common 6 IGBTs blown..bought the repair kit and also replaced IC501/IC502..Q531/501
So its an TNPA5330 SN board and after replacing the parts still 7 blinks..the 2 fets and fuse has also failed on the PSU..ive ordered them so im going to get PSU back to life before going any further with SN board..after reading all the posts on here regarding TNPA5330 thought id double check my soldering Q401-30F131 wasnt soldered correctly with the tab.
So my question is how do i test the SN for shorts..thx

Re: Panasonic TH42PZ82B standby light flashes 10 times
Its not that hard 2 do..them smd caps r small but with a steady hand & patience u should be fine..ive done 2 pannys now with same fault & i only replaced the caps & left the chips alone..reflow the solder on the pins of the 2 boards with new solder as it makes it allot easier when removing & a solder sucker is sufficient 2 use..remember 2 put the 2 plastic shields in place when reasembling
