Re: Polaroid TLX-04244B
Can you post some high resolution pictures of the inverter slave and inverter master boards? Specifically around the connectors to the bulbs. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Polaroid TLX-04244B
Okay, set your meter to 20k ohms, and measure the resistance between the pins in each of the red circles. We are trying to identify a faulty transformer. Note: You must do this while the TV is off or you could damage your multimeter.
Also, is there only one lamp connector? Are there any other inverters? I also find it strange that both terminals of the connector are connected to the same trace...Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Polaroid TLX-04244B
No, you should place one probe on one pin and one probe on another. It does not matter which way around. 0.04 is very low. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Polaroid TLX-04244B
Yes it does make a difference if it is plugged in. The inverter outputs about 3,500V for a TV of this size and will fry your multimeter. It MUST be unplugged/off to do the measurement. I prefer to cut the power at the mains just in case it tries to turn on.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Polaroid TLX-04244B
Can you repeat the test for the other inverter?
The results so far are inconclusive. The transformer that doesn't read anything might be faulty but I couldn't be certain

Re: Polaroid TLX-04244B
Okay, so I'm stumped, that's the right setting, but I'd expect results of "6000" or something for typical inverter transformers. Try again on the 200k range, but that would be very high for those types of transformers.
Another test. While the TV is off, disconnect the slave inverter bulb connector. Turn on the TV. Do you hear the buzzing noise and does the screen light up? Try it with the master board (reconnect the slave). Does the same thing happen? The board that does not produce the effect is probably the bad one. Please do not PM me with questions! Re: Polaroid TLX-04244B
Ok so I did another test and the left ones still nothing and now with using the 200k the right ones jump from 173.3 to 0.01.
I also tried disconnecting the slave and turning on the t.v no light and no buzzing and did the same with the other one and the same thing they both have to be plugged in for the light to come on.Comment

by dbuergiHi all,
i got this laptop from a repairshop which tried to fix a non booting bios issue but only physically destroyed the mainbios chip. I reprogrammed the bios and also the i2c and EC chip several times but the fault is still the same. I get power LED for 3-5 secs. and the laptop turns off. Charging also works.
Concerning the flashing i don`t know what else to do so i looked for other problems.
My thermal cam shows that the SY8288RAC power ic at PU1801 is the only hotspot (35-40c) when the board is off with battery connected. Adding the power supply i get a cheeping noise...10-25-2025, 07:30 AM -
by Chivo77hello friends, I have a DELL LATITUDE 5420---MODEL P137G, ST 20TFKN3 LA-K491P REV:2.0 (A01) and its quite a challenge. It powers on with the battery disconnected, lasts on for about 15 secs, and then shuts off. It does the same with battery only (no adapter). With battery and adapter it sometimes starts after hitting the button several times. It displays nothing in every case. Since only the Boardview is available, I guided myself with schematics similar to this laptop (I'll add them down). Some measurements:
1- After receiving power SIO_SLP_S0# goes high and never changes.

by ChrissygizmoHi all, I have a polaroid p49fn0038k, I originally thought the problem was just a straight forward backlight replacement, however this isn't the case..
When I power it up, the backlights flash on for a split second, I've tested the backlight strips and all are fine, I can see the polaroid symbol on the screen using a torch light....
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance11-10-2022, 10:30 AM -
by snimmitsGood afternoon,
I have a Polaroid P43D300.
It shipped with WiFi and Bluetooth.
Two weeks ago, I ran through the first time installation.
This did a full reset and went through the first time setup.
Once complete, I went to settings > sound.
selected Audio Link, changed setting from disabled to enabled, pressed green button on remote and the tv does a search (discovery) for Bluetooth devices.
search completes and doesn't find any devices.
I have tried everything I can think of.
Can someone provide... - Loading...
