Do a basic check of your diodes and resistors on top of the powerboard.

No backlight, also no 12v or 5v.

Well, where will the backlight come from? For the backlight to work, the motherboard must give a command to the inverter "INV_ON"...
How did you short the 1st and 7th pins, with the cable that goes to the motherboard disconnected?

I checked the joints and they looked good.

Will check the resistors and diodes later today, working right now.....
