first i want to say thank you so much for everything in this thread my TV is now up and running i did get two caps from radio shack i went to the guy cause i asked him if the cap was low esr he could not answer the question the cap was blue though and looked exactly like it should be the same one but i did my research and the cap might have been blue but it should have been black the guy could not even tell me the difference between the color of the caps but anyways i put the two caps in and my TV fired right up after awhile it flickered and the speakers started screeching like crazy after i looked everything over i found that i did not have all the grounds hooked up so i tried again no screeching. so anyways i ordered the board anyways could not hurt to have a spare board. any suggestion on anything you read let me know and i want to say thank you to you all for the help
(i stand corrected my tv is an rca l37wd12 but everything in this post is the same issueComment

I am having issues with my 42 in rca tv and seeking some help. I have replaced some capacitors and one fuse. I have no picture or sound. When I plug my tv in and I power it on, one green light shows up and stays on, then an additional green comes on for approx 5 seconds then turns off. Immediately after the second green light turns off a blue light comes on for approx 3 seconds. I am out of ideas and have attached pics of my boards. Any help would be appreciatedComment

My Samsung UE75TU7020k lights up fine when one of the ribbon cables are disconnected from the main board, lights stay on but not getting half a picture, I do the same with the other ribbon and put the other one in and lights stay on but not getting half a picture. The standby light flashes 2 times then reboots then it then tries to come back on again and just keeps looping until I take either one of the ribbon tables out (doesn’t matter which one I take out it stays lit when either one is out). I’ve tested the backlights but all working with none shorting out, I’ve replaced the main board... -
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

Hi, I'm new here and looking for some advice on how to diagnose an issue i have with 2 samsung TVs.
I have a UE32J5500AK and a UE48H6400AK both with the same issue of red light but nothing happening on the screen, the red light responds to remote or button press by flashing once but stays red. I have searched forums but most turn up a blinking red light.
I have tried replaceing the power board on the UE32J5500AK last year but this resulted in the same outcome.
The UE48H6400AK recently developed some small bright areas on the screen, then last week would not power... -
This only affects the picture but not the tv menus. Selecting any of the default picture settings gives a negative picture but turning the contrast down to 5 'fixes' it but then the tv is too dim which is hard to tell in the pictures.
This tv has a main board, scaler board, and a tcon.
I tore it down so I could probe the tcon which is nicely labelled. I've also included a pic of it.Here are the voltages I got:
