I don't believe you dipp, I am not homophobic, I just don't swing that way, like I told you before, but you just can't take a hint...so you stalk me, right fanboy, otherwise THERE IS NO NEED for YOU to comment on this thread, other than YOU just being a lonely boy right?? Why don't you try facebook or instagram.

I wouldn't have commented if not for that stupid attitude you don't have a hold of especially when it's down to your ignorance, it's unnecessary and brings nothing to the thread, especially as the TV was fixed.

I have zero love for you, your pathetic homophobic slur is embarrassing and a clear sign you're out of your depth mentally. Your many many posts back that up.

Same to you, not trying to be mean, just don't have much tolerance when I suggest a simple test and people just can't do it or follow it correctly, understandable with a difficult test but not a simple one. Then ask me if I read a post, of course I read the first post, then our lonely boy dipp chimes in, well I expected THAT, he's my biggest fanboy.

It's simple, you and dipp think about it, maybe someone can tell you the difference and explain it to you, but if you can't see the obvious difference it's just funny...AND so obvious that I will not explain it.

your post #6 states to unplug TCON cables - you didn't read post #1 cause I did unplug TCON cables to display and test. Again the display tabs on the bottom are bonded to the board. so I'm still at a loss at what your asking. The only way to fix this set was to remove the LEFT side tabs. I did this and the set is repaired.

What I said was unhook panel from tcon, I did not say it was not bad side tabs, I said you want to make sure that it is by testing, as a bad side tab can present itself in different ways.

I looked at the buffers at the bottom of the set - they are not connectors - they are bonded onto the board. Not worth removing display screen to check for bad caps or burn areas. I then made a executive decision and removed left side tabs (they removed very easily with pulling) and powered up set - perfect picture. Another tv saved from the dumpster

from reading all the posts on this issue - my right side of screen is good picture with left cable removed from TCON board from front of tv - all posts say to remove left side tabs from side of tv will restore the picture.

Indeed, never jump to tab removal before confirming the problem, it being non-reversible, little test: tv UNPLUGGED from power, unhook tcon to panel cables, being careful not to let the cable ends rest on metal, plug power in turn tv on, does it still cycle?

The buffer boards are what lvds cables from the tcon go to. You have to remove the speakers and metal cover

what are the buffer boards, this is a LED tv. there are side tabs on this tv - but no side boards.

    No don’t remove any tabs.
Sounds like the panel is the issue but most likely the tape method is your only hope.

You can check for shorted caps on the buffer boards also. You may get lucky and find something shorted there

started a topic vizio E60-E3 backlights, sound, no video

vizio E60-E3 backlights, sound, no video

Have a free Vizio E60-E3 pickup - sound and backlights work. set turns on and stays on for a period then cycles off and back on. NO VIDEO. If I remove left side (from front of TV) of TCON cable - set has pic on right side (from front of TV) with white screen on left side. With right side TCON cable disconnected - no pic on either side.
Does this mean remove right side (from front of TV) tabs ?

Like a second opinion before possibly destroying set.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
    by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

    Assuming...

KDL-60EX500. Comes on fine, sound is fine, backlights come on. Blank screen. Already tried reset POWER/VOL-. Anyone else have this problem? Possibly bad T-Con RUNTK4244ZZ or panel? Could main or power supply cause this? There were 2 blown 560u 35v on power going to backlights but they were still working fine. Thanks for your help.

Samsung UN70TU6980FXZA no sound no picture but does have backlights
    by stinger
When I turn tv on, the backlights come on but there is no sound or picture. I have read that these tv's have problems with the panels going bad but the "no sound" has me questioning if the main board is bad. Is there a way to troubleshoot the main board to determine if that is the problem?

    Replacing backlights in Vizio V755-J04
    by x_orange90_x
I've had this monster for several months as I've hesitated to order backlights for it. Finally did order them and they are due to arrive tomorrow. Besides having ample space to work, are there any recommendations for working on such a massive screen? Should I remove the panel by myself or would 2 people be a better choice? I bought the double-cup suction cups from Harbor Freight and have been using them for the last few repairs on smaller screens. They are far superior to the single cup orange ones I used previously that would often let go without warning 😱.

    I have not replaced...
