Good afternoon, I have a Samsung MU series locked, it does not boot, the power supply is ok, most likely the IC1604 25Q40 file is corrupted.

Everything is OK with the firmware (dump), read the dump from the chip again and show what status register is set for the chip (it should be 0x88, 0x42), what is the problem with the TV, is the standby LED on, does the backlight light up if you disconnect the cable from the power supply to the motherboard?, have you disconnected the lvds cables from the panel?

Thanks for your interest, I reprogrammed the same file on a new 25Q40, register at 0x88 0x42 and now the TV has started working again.
I will keep it to test, I would not want there to be some problem on the main.
Power, backlight and panel are ok.
Can you tell me what data is corrupted, so that I can recognize if a file is corrupted or not. Thank you very much for your support.

Basically, the header in dump with a size of 4 kB (initial bytes) FF FF FF..... flies off, and the status register itself.

Hi, I have a Samsung TV that's having trouble booting. I checked the voltage and everything is correct. I don't have a standby light. Could you help me correct my file?
              Thank you very much!

P.S.: Please excuse my poor English.

Try it, don’t forget about status register (0x88, 0x42).

Well, is it possible to see anything in such quality photos? Something similar, or this one, or this one.

What's better? Open your photos yourself and see how visible the markings are on the chips, replace the camera and take a photo with good focus!

                                            Hi all,

My UN65MU6300FXZC is dead and the standby LED stays off. The power supply is good. The main board is BN94-12434A.

Disconnecting the main board from the power supply makes the backlight come ON.

I did disconnect the panel cables and the WIFI modules, the board is still dead.

I did read in many posts that IC1604 25Q40 becomes corrupted. It has proper 3.3 volt on VCC pin 8. I did read that if I post its dump here someone can fix it. Is that right?

                                            Thanks.

Hello, I need a dump of the BIOS_WHP1 /25Q40/, EC controller chip /NTC6686D/. The motherboard is coming for repair after a another service, what is in the dump that I downloaded is the beginning of the MAIN BIOS, according to the analysis that I did based on the documentation of the EC controller NTC6686D, the content should be different. BIOS_WHP1 /25Q40/ is connected directly to SCE1#, SO1, SI1, SCK1 pins 66, 68, 67, 69 of the NTC6686D

                                            Hello, everyone!

A co-worker gave me a 55-inch Samsung TV model UN55MU6103F so I can try to fix the following problem... As soon as I plug it in to the wall, the TV turns on, and the display shows a few stripes all over the screen. I took off the back cover and disconnected both ribbon cables that go to the display (one at a time) so by doing that I can narrow down the bad section of the problem, but in both cases the display turns black. I know there are some voltages that I have to check (VGH, VGL, etc.) but don't know what reading each has to show. If anyone could guide me on this,...

I have a Samsung UE55MU6102K with the following problem : I disconnect the motherboard from main power supply from and the backlight leds light up.
Then motherboard connected, standby led is on and current consuption is 18W.
Then trying to start the TV, the standby led is blinking once but TV don't start and standby led stay red.

Maybe the firmware in the IC SPI Flash W25Q40CL (IC1604) is corrupted.

The model of my TV is :
                                            Power supply BN44-00807A

Samsung UEMU6199U - no Standby - bad Firmware?
                                            by Mirenia
                                            Hi everyone,
I've got a Samsung UEMU6199U which has no Standby LED and no reaction if try turning it on.
Voltages on the power supply board is okay. Backlight test is also okay.

I read about a corrupt firmware on IC1604 on some models, did a dump of this IC and turns out: First sectors are empty.
So I think my TV has exactly this issue.

Can someone please fix the dump?

And how do you do that?

As I understand you fill in the empty sectors and leave the rest as it is. But where do you get the "information" of what you...
