HP PSC2355 with likely bad caps

So I have this HP PSC2355 printer which I suspect
has bad capacitors. Symptoms are frequent
blue error screen (on the printer screen). Failure to start up usually either
a restart loop, a hang or a blue screen. It seems more likely to successfully
    start when it is warm.

Also the screen slightly dims in accordance to the activation of the motors.

I suspect caps but the problem is I cannot figure out how to get
access to the main circuit board. Any ideas?

there are service manuals online for most HP stuff, you just need to search.

There are no manuals for HP inkjets, except A3+ models and few old officejets.
        Have you checked PSU unit?

Thanks for the reply. I had forgotten about this thread.
I can confirm that the same problem occurs with a different power supply

I'd rather suspect the processor on the printer mainboard in this case. A reflow should (temporarily) fix it.

Well wouldn't the backlight dimming in rhythm with the motors point
              to a fried bypass cap?

Regardless the problem is I cannot get to the board
