Panasonic SA-AKX16 CD STEREO SYSTEM (DEAD)

Hi I have Panasonic Hi-Fi system that will not power up? It was working fine one day, went to turn it on the next day, nothing happened?
Checked the obvious - mains cable and internal F1 fuse, all ok.
Have replaced the following electrolytic capacitors:
    C6 22uf 50V, C9 47uf 50V, C10 47uf 16V, C11 470uf 10V, C12 470uf 10V and C26 680uf 50V. C11 and C12 (470uf 10V) had very high uF values which I presumed was the main problem?
C1 and C2 both 330uF 250V check out ok using Atlas ESR meter.
I have the following DC voltages at CONN 2: (disconnected)
    1. +33.7V
    2. +33.7V
    3. PGND 00.00V
    4. PGND 00.00V
    5. NC 00.00V
    6. + 3.25V
    7. PROT 00.00V
    8. SM-D 00.00V
    9. AM-BP 00.00V
    10. TEMP 00.00V
    11. SYNC 00.00V
    12. POWER 00.00V
    13. ECO 00.00V

I don't have any schematics for this unit, also, should I have any voltage at PIN 12 or would this be maybe power in from main board?

    Any ideas appreciated?

    Thanks, Albert.

It looks like the power supply is working ok and not the problem.
Pin 12 is the power on signal from the microprocessor, The fact you have +3.25 (+3.3v) on pin 6 is good, that SYS3.3V feeds the micro, eeprom etc. Check that you have 3.3 getting to ic2006, check the reset circuit Q2001.

        Hi,
Thanks for the schematics and information.

I have checked the following pins for voltage at IC2006:

        Pin 17 - 3.28V
        Pin 18 - 1.81V
        Pin 37 - 1.81V
        Pin 89 - 3.28V
        Pin 100 - 3.28V

        Pin 8 @ IC2007 EEPROM - 3.28V

        3.27V @ Q2001 RESET.

        Thanks,
        Albert.

Dead Panasonic Viera TX-P65STW50 Plasma TV
          by badcappo
Hello, got a ST50 plasma TV for repair. No signs of life, not even blink codes. Opened it up to check the power supply, type MPF6914. Apparent issues from visual detection and measuring for shorts:
          Diode type G972s6 - D101 with a short
          Mosfet 06N90E - Q301 shorted
          Fuse T5AH 250V - F103 blown
          Diode D301 shorted
          Relay DG1U-17VDC II - RL001 blown

I have not found a circuit diagram. Maybe someone here already dealt with a similar issue? Thanks for tips where else to check 😀...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
          by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
          by double_DD
          Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
          by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...
