Re: Vizio M50-D1 power supply dual voltage?

I would lookup the spec sheet of the PFC IC to get more info about the PFC section.
For example FAN7529_PFC, as you can see the VCC get the kickstart Voltage for the main rectifier via the resistor, that resistor has to be chosen correctly if it is made to run strictly at no higher than 140V or made to handle from 85 ~ 240VAC.
So look up at the spec sheet of the PFC IC, that may give you a clue.

GeorgeGadgets... Did you use a transformer or plug in with just an adapter? I'm in the same boat... Opened up the tv backing, and the board on my little vizio was clear about 110v - 240v rating, but my big vizio power board doesn't specifically list any input ranges.

To the gurus... Image of power board is attached. Is this 220V compatible?

Is there a sticker with the input voltage rating on the back of the tv?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

              LM358 LM358S-13 Datasheet
              by Document Archive
The LM358 LM358S-13 consists of two independent, high gain, internally frequency compensated operational amplifiers which were designed specifically to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. Operation from split power supplies is also possible and the low power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage.

Application areas include transducer amplifiers, dc gain blocks and all the conventional op amp circuits which now can be more easily implemented in single power supply systems. For example, the LM358 series can be directly...

good day hoping someone can lend a hand, im repairing smart tv 50 inch, status when turning on back light is dim but you can see the tv logo then slowly fading out to black, i check the supply to tcon, i only read 5+v, must be 12v, i removed lvds cable and check voltage to mainboard turned on its also 5v, then i remove the cable mainboard to power supply, i read 12v in power supply, thinking that the problem is in the mainboard, coz theres 12v in power supply, i also check while turning on checking volts in main board 12v dropping to 5v, im just new repairing in TV, hope someone see my post t...

How to modify a switching power supply that has voltage/current adjustable but powering it from a battery pack
              by sam_sam_sam
I have been pondering this question for a while but now I have see if this doable but I need to answer this question once and for all

I would like to know how to safely do this undertaking my first thought is to solder wires to the main filtering capacitors and see
what voltage I am getting and seeing if I can build a battery pack with voltage or not and if

I can find a BMS balancing protection board at this voltage level and weather or not do I have use more than one BMS balancing protection board...
