Im working with one of these amps: no power. Turns out a faulty transistor and blown fuse. Replaced both but still no power. On further testing, red circle is damages. How to know what to replace with? Yellow oval is the transistor ive replaced. Transistor was a NDF04N60ZGOS-ND.

Re: Determining a faulty capacitor
Yes. On MM is show up as DISC or DESC, not sure but it's gone.
It's just for the fuse. Original fuse was a 2a. Now Im temp using a 1amp.
That resistor is fine to be honest. I think it's showing 3K, Im not at work to confirm. But Im pretty sure it's ok.Last edited by speedypro; 10-29-2016, 12:29 AM.Full-time computer repair tech (10am - 6pm) and full-time, (8am - 11pm), Ruby on Rails Developer

Re: Determining a faulty capacitor
I do not understand what you mean, Disc. Bottom line is the cap shows resistance reading or not. So what resistance do you get on the cap?Never stop learning

Re: Determining a faulty capacitor
That power MOX resistor if I am correct, it should be connected to the Source pin of the MOSFET, when the MOSFET shorted out it will also cause the resistor to go open citrcuit. It should be very low resistance of less than 1 Ohm.Never stop learning

Capacitor detached from PCB – RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition
Description:
During maintenance on an RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition, I found a capacitor lying on my desk after reassembly.
I did not notice it detaching, so I am unsure of its original location on the PCB.
Procedure performed:
- Removed backplate
- Cleaned heatsink and PCB with isopropyl alcohol + soft ESD brush
- Reapplied thermal compound
- Reassembled card
Observed behavior after reassembly:
- GPU powers on and operates normally under...11 Photos -
by devsignerHi
While messing around with my MacBook Pro, I stupidly pinged off a very small surface mounted component that I’m now trying to identify.
resistance tests show a rising resistance value, indicating a capacitor.
The laptop boots up and runs, however I'm choosing not to use it until I get it fixed.
i can’t see any markings on the capacitor at 10x magnification using a professional jewler's loop.
It seems like there's some damage to the capacitor - one side doesn't have "shiny bits" - can you tell I don't do this for a living!...5 Photos -
by PrologHi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.
I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.
I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)
I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never... -
by nev1001Hi, I'm looking for a bit of help trying to fix the audio unit from a Maestro Mayhem 4.1 gaming chair please.
The chair has a few speakers and vibration motors. All was well, for a while, but now the sound is gone.
It may be significant that I discovered my son was powering it with a 19V laptop charger when it should run on 12V - it did fully work, for bit.
I think an issue could be a zener diode (or capacitor) which has shorted out.
The board's bluetooth input still works, the vibration motors are working, so is the line out socket but not the...-
