I had an E-Machines case with a different board in it. It turns out it had a BestTec power supply, so I canned the power supply before it went bad.
Here's the strange part. The machine had been sitting a while, and now the board won't boot.
All the fans spin, and the light goes on for the keyboard - no video, no beeps from speakers, and you have to hold the power button to shut it off again.
It's a Biostar U8668-D board.
Any suggestions on what to look for? I've tried two known good power supplies, and it doesn't do much. I don't want to just toss another chip into it, just in case it fries it, but none of the caps are obviously bad.
G-Luxon for the 8mm, and OST for the 1cm caps.
I haven't pulled it out of the case yet, because I wanted to get opinions first.
