Toshiba 42rv530u psu, keeps blowing fuse resistor

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...7&d=1400080869

I have a power supply like this in my attachment, I found a bad resistor ( circle in red) w/c is 1.8 ohms fuse resistor. I replaced with new resistor & it blows again. So what's the problem, it's the rectifier diode or the relay.

I did not look at the SCH in details yet to see what the resistor is for. There are two revision of the SCH, REV1 and REV2.

Budm, I look at the diagram, check mosfets 820 & replaced the power IC q840 ( str-A6169). BTW I replaced also the resistor r850 & relay 81 when I plug the TV, the resistor r850 blown again. I don't know what my next idea.

So have you try put a lamp ohmic +-100w in série with your phase that supply for your PS if the lamp goes on and stay on you have a short, let on for a couple of minute s and look for what is getting hot. If nothing get hot check the snubber circuit.

Is this some kind of fuse resistor ?
                by magneh
                Hello guys

Taking a look at some KNX domotic modules that were toasted due to some kind of electrical failure, I found out 2 weird looking resistors.

Seem to me like some kind of fuse resistor?
After diggin a bit seems like a fuse wirewound resistor wafer or whatever that is

They are very toasted but I think the 5 band colours are RED GOLD BLACK ORANGE ORANGE or the opposite, not sure which is the first band.
The red band is larger than the 4 others, but I dont have much experience with these components.

                Also one of the orange...

Replacing resistor fuse in Sony DV charger
                by corrize
Hello, I have 2 old chargers for Sony DV, and I found the same resistor fuse dead. Fuse is a crossing component : 0,47 Ohms (0,125W deduced because the lenght is 3mm). But I can’t find the same for buy.
So, I want to replace by another like 0 Ohms, 1 Ohms 0,125W,

It is the same please ? I guess it’s the same, the only change should be the time to burn ? Thanks...

Samsung PD27AOQ (BN44-00506B) constantly blowing internal fuse.
                by Tips
                Looking for some assistance please.
Trying to repair a PD27AOQ samsung power board.
Initially had the typical problem of cm806 capacitor blown, additionally thermistor NT801s blown.
Replaced the ceramic capacitor, str60252s, bridge rectifier, thermistor and fuse.
Testing it the fuse blows immediately power is turned on.
diodes dm852 and dm853 test as shorted when in the board but fine when removed.
any assistance, guidance would be appreciated.

Samsung 46" TV LE46B530 blowing fuse
                by RogerH58
                Hi all,

I am a newbie and not very experienced so bear with me if i struggle sometimes with technical language - but I'll do my best. I searched "Samsung" and the model number on the forum but didn't find anything I could understand!

I'm not an electronics guy - just picked up stuff over the years through my flight-simming hobby.

I have the above mentioned 46" tv as the monitor for my flight-sim setup. Recently it went "crack" and stopped working. No standdby light and no response. I assumed a fuse had blown and after investigation...

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
                by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...
