Dual PSUs make your life easier

Great news, the m/b comes with 2
    atx power connectors !!

You can now use any 2 cheap PSUs
to work together , saving bucks
    to buy expensive PSU.

      Here is the preview.
      http://www.oc.com.tw/article/0605/re...le.asp?id=5156

As the author said the m/b can support dual psus
work in load sharing, I think it could be possible.

I also saw redundant atx power connectors on server m/bs
before, but those are in w-atx.

a 7-phase balanced PWM, managed by a single controller, offers a highly stable power supply for the CPU.
It has dual power supply connectors which will most certainly satisfy any special power requirements.
looks like that article is correct. its got lifetime warranty also.

Interesting to see that on a "budget board"... the Iwill DK8ES (would be my 'dream motherboard', that's for sure ) also has two 24-pin EPS connectors.

It's also one of the few modern motherboards out there that have NO aluminium electrolytic capacitors... which is just too "cool" for words.

The albatron m/b will only come in limited quantities.
What's a pity ! It seems the price will be sky high.

As for Iwill , I haven't seen any news or
reviews of them for a long time. It just vanished
            from the HK market !

"Digital Clock" ? does not make sense, plenty of PLL's can be changed with software in small increments... what am I missing here? I mean it's not like the software magically changes a trimmer pot or something...

Put a GPS on the mainboard and have the time synced to the nanosecond, then sync the clocks to that...

Hell even my DELL's PLL can be directly interfaced to vary the frequency... (IS or Kim, if you're reading this, no I'm not overclocking my GX260)... lol

Heh I'm not too surprised actually, considering my previous post and all...

Here's a shot from Iwill's site of their "Digital VRM"... reminds me a lot of the VRM design on creidiki's ATI X1900XTX.

Look at the digital VRM love... wish mainstream AMD board makers would switch... doubt it though, just doesn't fit with their business plan I guess...

Re: Dual PSUs make your life easier

                        thats a dumb idea.

one good psu is better than 2, shitty ones.

plus, which cases for desktop use have 2 psu spots?

also, thats just screaming to have problems with load regulating, just like crossfire setups.

much better idea to have one psu for mobo, gfx, hdd.

                        and a second for fans/pumps/etc.

thats what i did, but i had to build an enclosure to do it.

Re: Dual PSUs make your life easier

I've been running dual PSUs for a long time (Seasonic S12's 600 & 500), and a mobo for both would be great. Too bad it doesn't have PCI-X (not PCIe). I'm content with my power setup now though. After killing several Enermax's, I finally went this route. And it's been wonderful so far. PSU1 power the mobo & video card. PSU2 powers the HD enclosures, fans, and lights. Doing this allows me to add as many hard drives as I can fit into this beast.

This will be the first non-server AMD board with digital PWM.
You see , no caps around the VRMs. Perhaps, sooner or later,
will don't have to recap any more !
