Re: Dell being sued for bad caps on MB
Have to agree, even the mid towers had that problem.
Look at the GX 270/280 as well, Dell put a low end fan on the Prescott, the heat sink/fan would whine like a jet engine, the fix was to put a "Gaming" heat sink and fan on the CPU and the problem went away....

Re: Ahtlon XP in Dual MP board?
Buy two semprons 3000+'s...
They are rebadged MP's...
If you put them in a Dual MP board they come up as MP1900+'s...
Better yet get two XP-M 3000+ processors and close the MP bridge...
16.5x133.33 goodness!

Re: Biostar TF7025-M2 recap project
That's cool... My Biostar 6100-939 is still chugging along, since 2006 with the same caps it shipped with.

Re: ECS A770M-A Board at Frys
ECS is a major builder, but they stuff their boards with shit... now if I wanted them to build boards for me, I'd send them a BOM spec'n better caps and that's how they would build it... That's pretty much how the industry is.

Re: New "fat" iPod Nano cloned by Chinese
no they can make them with the same parts and the Apple sauce zealots will still drone on about Apple's superior hardware...

Re: Emachines T2042 *dead*
IIRC after one of the other OEM got its balls in the ringer for proprietary parts, e-machines starting using OTS parts, hence you can throw any ATX PSU into a newer e-machine... you can even get replacement mainboards without having to jump through mega-hoops.

mainboard = MB, IMPERIAL-GL (REV C2, D or E) T2042.. barf!Re: Emachines T2042 *dead*<br /> <b...starting using

Re: Least Problematic AMD/64 Boards
Those fans I put on there were for testing, I have a large fan in my case that blows across them right now.
Yep, quite a few people add the fans as the chipsets get quite warm.

Re: Soltek SL-75DRV5
If soltek was still in the mainboard business they'd send you free Panasonic caps to fix it...
