    Could I get some help reading this schematic?

    First off, PQ2 was shorted. So I replaced it with a new one.

    And now PQ2 does not output any voltages in pins 5-8. I think it's not being activated since pin 4 in both PQ2 and PQ1 are on high (18v).

    So I noticed there's some OCP/OVP protection circuit in page 59. I think the relevant parts are PQ35, PR6. But I don't know how to make sure PQ35 is fine since I never tested its kind before, though it passes diode test I think. Also it has 18V in pins 1,3,4,6.

    so your pq2 and pq1 will open with gate from PU3 pin 4 ACDRV#
    if that chip its broken and does not output that voltage for the mosfet you will not have any power.

    replace pu3 then you will have gate for pq2 and pq1

      I've replaced PU3 with another one from a broken laptop, so I don't know if it's good or bad. But they had the same readings in all pins, the issue is, it takes me 2 weeks to receive any order from Ebay and I would rather confirm everything else is fine.

      Since both these guys changed PU3, I assumed PU3 was fine:

      I have to add if I short PQ2, computer runs fine with power adapter. Battery remains undetected.

        So I had been reading the schematic, would it make sense if I remove PR140 and PR9 and then measure pin4 of PQ1 to check whether ACDRV# is working or not?

          SOLVED:

          Replaced PQ2 and resoldered PU3.

            for chips like that pu3 I got a microscope to be 100% sure its soldered.
            glad to see that it came on

              there is a good technique to solder without using microscope . simpe remove all solder frmo the pins with solder wick in both part board and chip itself , leave on a very small amount on the central pin GND (very small , like the amount of solder of a 0,65 mm ball
              give a bit of hot aair to make the bond on the GND , then apply flux on the 4 sides , and with your iron , gently drop a little big of solder in the iron , and pass slowly on the 4 sides with the iron , all pins will be perfectly soldered , without much need of microscope confirm , just with eye view you can notice if well or not well soldered .

                I'm not sure if this is still pervasive but back in the Socket 775 and on towards a lot of the 115x series, Intel heatsink fans used those nasty to set pin-in-hole retention systems to hold the heatsink on the motherboard. Not only there's a potential to bend and crack the motherboard, I've had a few of these plastic pins blow up and the heatsink falls off. I have this one machine that constantly breaks these pins that I ended up ghettomodding it with screwlocks and a bunch of nylon washers. Not as tight as before but at least the cpu doesn't overheat anymore when the plastic pins crack!...

                Bent and broken CPU pins

                Hello, I have a motherboard that I somehow crushed a bunch of CPU pins on an LGA1200 CPU socket. I am only at hobby skill level for soldering etc but I want to try and repair the board. Is it easier to replace individual pins or the whole socket? I have seen a few youtube videos and people seem to have more success replacing pins than the whole socket. I don't have a BGA fancy heater but have a decent hot air station and a makeshift bottom heater. Any thoughts?...

                Help with Samsung Microwave Cooling Fan Wiring Pins

                I have a Samsung Microwave I'm looking to harvest some parts from, specifically the 120V AC motor that keeps the Magnetron cool.
                From the image below, we see 3 pins on the AC motor, with AC Voltage tester all 3 leads measure 120 V with the microwave plugged in and fan not running. With the fan running only pins 2 & 3 measure 120 V.

                What I'm looking to do is wire this motor up on a Air Compressor to keep the motor cool, but I need to know what is the safe way to wire it, (IE wire in pins 2 & 3 with 120 V only to get it to run?)

                Hello, I search this connector (oxydated).
                It's a fpc zif low profile connector. It come from camera sensor, it is very small : 0.3mm between 2 pins.
                I ordered 2 from Aliexpress called « 0.3mm pitch » but one was 0.5mm between 2 pins and the other 0.6mm. In fact « 0.3mm pitch » seams to be the pad width and not the distance between 2 pins.
                I can't find it. The other websites like mouser dont show the datasheet, and I can't check if it is 0.3mm between 2 pins ?


                Do you know how to find this connector please ? What is the exact name for find it ?
