Today I have to work with an Thinkpad L13 password remove situation.
I followed exactly this volinakis guide and it's 90% accurate.
I must write 00s on position 3. not FF because with FFs I got Error 2204 :System configuration data is invaid.
Just an observation...

Here is clear EC dump, you just need to program your EC chip (nuvoton) with Vertyanov programmer) and after that to fill all information like serial number etc..If you can't fill dmi block by Lenovo maintenance utility, here is adresses of these blocks
Model name located at 0005C000

SN,type and board number located at 00058000

I don't have a Vertyanov programmer.
Is it possible to add or change the boot order in the locked BIOS?
The machine I have is fine, except it will only boot from the SSD; USB is locked out, so it can't be reloaded.

unlocked KBC bin (Intel platform)


for your information, password is stored bewteen address 0x5E000 - 0x5E200. I'm not sure if it is similar for other models. You can erase it with 0xFF manually also. 0xFF stands for empty memory byte
