        Dell Latitude 5580 LA-E152P BIOS

Dell Latitude 5580 LA-E152P Rev 1.0. Board with Nvidia 940MX GPU.

Aynone have working BIOS dump for these? Only one I found that works (and updates correctly) but fan's don't spin (ME region issue?) was from this post: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...light=LA-E152P

        Some background:
I have bunch of these laptops and some of them have a following issue; BIOS (and TPM) won't update and the laptop just restarts after trying (doesn't work from USB stick either).

Tried to copy BIOS from another machine but the laptop wont even start after (no power). Can someone explain why this doesn't work? The BIOS versions are identical.

In the attachment are two BIOS files from 2 different laptops. Version 1.30 works fine and was updated from earlier version. Version 1.24 wont update, and wont work if I use BIOS from another 1.30 laptop (or 1.24 for that matter). Service tags are in the folder names.

        Any help would be appreciated.

I found this Service Tag in your file "5094JM2". Are you sure it's your original BIOS?
Your file isn't good, which SPI programmer do you use and do you a clip/clamp or de-solder the chip outside the motherboard?
What is your actual CPU because this laptop can be with H or U CPUs.

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                    by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
                    by mikeybass
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

Dell Latitude 5400 Chromebook UEFI bios
                    by jhanra
Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...

Dell Optiplex 7010 micro bad BIOS flash?
                    by mrrubik
                    Hi folks,

I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)

                    Steps I took:
                    1. Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
                    2. Patched
                    ...
