Hello everyone,
I'm looking for the original BIOS dumps for a Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Gen 2 i5.
Machine details:
- Serial Number (SN): R9-1092XF
- Type Number (TN): 20VH-001NMX
This motherboard has two BIOS chips. I have the first one (BIOS1), but the second chip (BIOS2) is physically missing from the board and I believe I will need to order and program it myself.
Details:
- BIOS1 chip: MX25L25673GM2I-08G
- BIOS2 chip: missing
Any help with the original dumps (BIN files) for both chips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Only units with vPro CPUs are supposed to have 2 chips (i5-1145G7 and i7-1185G7), the rest of them only have one. Open the schematics and you will see. Or check images on Lenovo's parts catalogue.Comment

And here is the picture of your board from Lenovo (FRU: 5B21K85606)
As you can see, there was no second chip. I believe there has to be some design flaw with L13G2, cause you can see dozens of them dead on eBay. Maybe it is a soldered ram that needs a reflow, maybe something else. I have no idea. In any case, there is more than enough working bios dumps for a board like yours on this forum. Give them a try. Even without cleaning ME region, the board should start. It is gonna post with a significant delay, but nonetheless, a donor BIOS should work if the hardware is functional.
You can use this link https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/warranty-lookup#/ to verify that you're picking the right donor. Type in the serial, go to Parts - As-Built and filter by Logic boards. There were at least a few of them with i5-1135G7, and i7-1165G7 should also work.
Also, just in case if you're not sure whether your screen is in good shape or not, you can try the built-in LCD test. With a charger connected, press Fn+CTRL+power. Damaged/dead screen or cable may result in it playing a tune. Or you can try hooking it up to an HDMI screen with the LCD cable detached from the board.Comment

There is an app called Lenovo PC Diagnostics. It can decode the beep melody into an actual fault code. So I'd start from there.

Thank you very much for your efforts. I will try your suggestions and download the new BIOS from here. I will write at the end what the problem was.Comment

SMDFlea laptop serial number, full name and model, motherboard model is already in my messege. I clean efs, try clean me but motherboard not starting with bios(clean me "configured"), also i tried replacing the "bios" zone + clean ME but the board still doesn't boot. Many bios dumps that I found on the internet have a different version of ME (I have corporate lp) but the board boots up and shows the splash screen. I just started learning how to work with fit 15\16, so I don't really understand how to properly restore the bios.Comment

So far I've been a silent reader, but now I need your help
I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge -
by RMDUiFTGood day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.
I have a few questions:- If I would buy this laptop and have

by Loki_FidoHi everyone, hope everyone's having a great day.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 3 for repair. (20LES3T900)
I looked in every corner and the laptop seems fine. Its pulling 500mA but no display, no noise, nothing.
So I assume its a BIOS issue. I downloaded the BIOS with CH341A and opened it on ME Analyser and didn't receive any errors.
Does this mean the BIOS is fine? making it a hardware issue?
I downloaded fresh BIIOS from the Lenovo site and used Hex Editor replace the Lenovo's BIOS into my BIOS region. But the file size ended up being...-
