You're totally right! I read about that the bios chip needs to be like 2,4,8,16,32,etc. But I did not understand and could not find it. I now understand what it means (sorry, my English is bad).
The chip is "GD25R256D". But anyone tried this to attach with a clip? I want to flash with CH341A with clips, but the attachment looks really small. (I did not remove the whole motherboard yet, but if it is not necessary I don't need to). I attached picture of the chip. Anyone tried with the clip?Comment

3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"

I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical. I threw in the display and my hypothesis was correct, however, I was greeted with a locked BIOS and since I didn't know the password, I figured I'd try to unlock it somehow. Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅... -
