Hey! Thank you, the bios password got removed. But the Keyboard stopped working…Do you think it has something to do with the bios Version? Or did i destroy the keyboard by heat? Ich checked the lines of the cables with a multimeter but they seem Fine, the Backlight of the keyboard doesnt work too.
I did the dell diagnostics and it did say that the keyboard isnt recognized „check cable, fuse“ … The trackpad just works fineComment

Hi ,
I have a problem with Latitude 5520. Laptop have bios pass.
I cannot read xmc 25rh256c with my programmer TL866-II plus. When I try to read this soic, only uncheck id possible but the bios is corrupt.
Because I write the backup to Winbond w25q256 I get 3 amber 6 white error.
Bios at post 393 above is working, but after a few start laptop isnt boot. 3 amber 6 white led blinking.
when I check the backup with MeAnalyzer I see the ME is not corporate but consumer. This is a business laptop.
Someone can check and fix this backup?

I need help removing/unlocking the BIOS Service Tag password on my Dell Latitude 5520 laptop.
Problem details:
* Model: Dell Latitude 5520.
* Board ID (from BIOS file): TGL MB 8L 19819-1 (Southpeak15).
* Required Password Code: 3FE2 (BIOS Service Tag Lockout Code).
* Service Tag: (Enter your actual Service Tag from the laptop here)
* BIOS Status: I successfully modded the BIOS file and created FINAL_CLEANED_ME.bin (32MB) with a clean ME region (CSME 15.0), because the original dump was corrupt.... -

I have Dell Latitude 5520, however it refusing a Bios Update, the current Bios version 1.30. Its 11th gen with with an 1135 G7 CPU.
I have tried everything under the sun to try and get this Laptop to update the Bios, Latest version 1.47, however It wont do the Bios Update, via Windows, Via USB, Via Network, same issue, in Windows it does the checks and says its restarting the laptop, however all I get is black screen, nothing after that, 15/20/30 minutes, even 1 hour after.

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate... -

I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical.
