    Lenovo L340-17API 81LY

    Hello guys,

    I had tried to find a bios dump for a Lenovo L340 - 17API
    model 81LY

the problem that I have is that is not booting with the original bios, had tried with a different bios that I had found here, but it says that is for the 15" model, with that is getting to bios but could not boot to bootable stick drive or the hard drive installed.
If anyone could help, that would be gratefully appreciated.
I will try to add my original dump if it can be fixed.

    Many thanks in advance.

This is a batch extracted from the update and all numbers from your old bios are copied

Ive programmed it with the dump of Vesko, it works but model and Model number are wrong.

Can someone help me fixing the original dump?
          Much appreciated

Does it flash as a bin or do have to change it?

You can just flash it as .bin file, but you have to use an SPI Programmer.

Thank you! I was able to flash the bios using L340-17API 81LY new bios.rar.
I didn't have the 1.8v adapter, but I took a chance and got lucky I suppose.

the bios from post #5 is virgin, use the HxD program (it's free on the internet), enter both bios into the program (your laptop and the virgin one),
select that interval mentioned in both bios, copy the interval in your bios and pass it to the virgin bios (copy - paste)....and that's it...

Need BIOS Dump/ROM for Lenovo Thinkstation p500
                                      by AHmad_Salal
                                      Hello all,
I have a Lenovo Thinkstation P500 that is stuck at post with no display, it happened after I changed the memory timings in bios. I can not clear CMOS using the jumper on the motherboard, also tried re-flashing bios suing a USB stick but it also doesn't work. The only solution that I can think of right now is re-flashing the bios chip using an external programmer but the problem is that I don't have the bios dump of p500 for flashing externally and I don't know the location of bios chip. If someone can provide the bios dump and bios chip location it would be really helpful....

[REQUEST] 2MB BIOS Dump for Lenovo NM-E471 Rev 2.0 (Winbond 25Q16JWSIQ Chip)
                                      by hyperwood
                                      Hi everyone,

                                      I’m looking for a 2 MB BIOS dump for a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 16ARH7H / Legion 5 with mainboard NM-E471 Rev. 2.0.

The BIOS chip is a Winbond W25Q16FW (1.8V, 2MB) and it's completely unresponsive / bricked. I tried recovery via USB but no success. Now I want to reflash it externally using a CH341A programmer.

I already found 32MB dumps (e.g. from Vinafix and Badcaps), but they are too large for the chip – and the last 2MB in those files are just FF FF FF....

                                      ✅ What I need:
                                      • A working 2MB BIOS dump
                                      • Matching NM-E471 Rev. 2.0, e.g. JY575
                                      ...

I need a BIOS dump for the Samsung S49CG934SU monitor
                                      by Habble7
The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

                                      Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

                                      Troubleshooting Attempts:
                                      ...

Hi all! I was reading on tutorials how to flash a bios to remove password from a bios, and I ended up reading the EC chip instead of the main bios chip, it only gave me a .bin file of 1,024kb, I learned later that that is the EC chip not the main bios chip (I should have read the tutorials here instead before attempting anything, my bad), I went to flash the original backup, the 1,024kb size file into the same chip and laptop is not powering up anymore. I may have screwed the chip or even the motherboard (Hopefully not), I am trying to see if there is a fix before I discard it. I had a couple...

Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this. This is my first post on this forum.

A friend helped me get a prototype Lenovo motherboard from China, it's got a hole drilled in it but I'm working on trying to revive it to some degree. I dumped the bios in hopes that it might be useful to someone, since this board is configured with the 3rd NVMe SSD slot and maybe it is useful as a reference for modding another bios to support this function. For example the M90q Gen 2 / P350's unpopulated 3rd NVMe slot footprint maybe.
This bios dump is straight from the chip, nothing has been...
