Hello,
I found a solution to clear password from BIOS bin file (using "Hex Editor Neo"):
1- Select the range 00045000 to 00048fff
2- Select "Edit" then "Fill"
3- Put "ÿ" in "Pattern" zone.
4- Choose "Fill selection" then clic on "Fill" button.
5- Save the new file.

So, as far as I understand, for 8FC8 we don't have any solutions except for reprogramming the BIOS? Question is whether the online services charging 60+ bucks for a password actually have a keygen they won't share or they just scam people.Comment

Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅... -
