Hey, I have an Hp Elitebook 840 G5 that i tried to flash. Stupidly i flashed the main chip (32mb) and when i went to boot the laptop my caps lock and f10 key were flashing. Stupidly again i did not save the backup so i couldnt reflash the original one. I took one from this forum and tried flashing it thinking that would solve my issues but now im greeted with the f11 key light, a black screen and full fan speed. What can i do to fix it? i've attached the current bin file.

                        Hello everyone
                        I have an HP Elitebook 840 G5
problem : after laptop freeze and force shutdown, when powering on there's no display and caps/num lk blinking 5 times and wireless light orange then the fan speed increases until full speed and it stays like that.
what I've done so far : after pulling a dumb from the bios chip, ME seems to be corrupted as ME analyzer found an error. I managed to clean ME myself by following the extensive guide on winraid but after soldering the bios, power light keeps blinking white and orange. I also tried with known working older bios dump that I pulled from my machine but same problem. so far I’ve only worked with the main 32MB BIOS chip. I haven’t dumped the smaller EC chip yet.
I'm attaching the files I've used so far. I'd really appreciate it if someone looks into this and points me in the right direction.

                                    Hi guys,

If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.

                                    BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....

                                    Greetings badcaps community,

I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.

Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.

                                    I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.

These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.

                                    I learned that desoldering...

Need Help With CH341A Programmer & BIOS Password Removal (HP Elitebook 835 G11)
                                    by KingCracked123
                                    Hey everyone,

I recently bought a CH341A programmer, but I’m still not 100% sure what to do next. I couldn’t find any tutorials specifically for the HP Elitebook 835 G11, so I’m trying to piece things together.

From what I’ve learned so far, the process looks something like this:
                                    1. Use the programmer to read the chip.
                                    2. Save a backup of the dump.
                                    3. Open the .bin file in Hex Workshop.
                                    4. Replace certain lines with “FF”.
                                    5. Write the modified file back to the chip.
                                    6. Boot the laptop → password should be gone.

I’ve also heard that some systems have both a Main chip and...

                                    Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                    🧩 Initial Issue
                                    • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                    • External display (HDMI) shows
