Re: ThinkPad T14 Supervisor password
Anyone could help same laptop, same programmer?
I face exactly same error, as a difference I use 24-pin FPC cable as requirement of programmer, with right pinout (from diagram) and nothing...
I found post in another forum about T14S with almost same MB, and same EC and one user read well the chip, and remove the password but with SVOD3.
Code:012: Please use the 24-pins FPC cable and close to Keyboard interface 1 pin with same align direction. 036: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 037: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 038: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 039: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 040: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 041: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 042: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 043: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 044: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 045: Wait for the chips enter into the ISP status, please wait... 046: Boot error, please check whether the EC chip is supplied voltage and ISP cable is connected properly or not. The ISP cable should not exceed 10cm in length. 047: >----------------------------------Error--------------------------------------<

Re: ThinkPad T14 Supervisor password
One resistor is connected to Reset pin. This resistor should be pull up resistor so you just need to move the resistor from pulled down to pull upLeave a comment:

by badzymandiazI have a laptop that was purchased second-hand, and I am able to boot Windows on and extract the BIOS dump (ONLY the BIOS region, I was unable to dump anything else due to an FCERR I received trying to dump the other regions) and use normally. However, because the BIOS is locked with a supervisor password, I am unable to use anything else except for Windows, and it has also disabled some hardware features of the laptop itself, such as the fingerprinting module, etc. that I really do wish to use.
I have been digging around for nearly 2 weeks trying to find any mention of the same model...-

by Badpatch02Hi all, I'm new here, a few words about myself: CS student, interested in hardware stuff too - tinkering my whole life but with practically no experience when it comes to firmware "hacking".
So I have this X380 Yoga with a supervisor password in place and before doing anything stupid I figured I'd rather ask.
I plan on using the tool from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...password-remov...-

Hey guys,
have a laptop here that has a supervisor Password (dump in Attachements).
Before i write the Serial NR.etc i wanted to say that strangely after flashing with 3 different Bios dumps and one from lenovos site
the laptop works but everytime it wants me to type a supervisor password i never set.
I thought the supervisor password is stuck in the ec bios but no it isn't either because after replacing the ec chip from one of another board it still has the supervisor password.
Anyway i wanted to ask what of the two chips is the ec bios because on the left...-
