• I programmed and replaced the ec chip with another one but the exact same Thing happens.
It still wont react to the Power Button and it keeps trying to start and goes after Plug ging ac to 921 milliamps (current still changung) than to 910 freezes and goes down to 861 mamps and stays there. It only goes up when the Fan is spinning.

Now this thing is quite a challenge because i never did those measurements but should i list an Signal of the ec Chip or pwm Chip? And when yes which Signals? Do i need an oscilloscop?

• No, i don't have a ram slot tester but I can use a Oscilloscope from a friend.
Never did those measurements tough but I think i came to the conclusion that this Laptop may has a corrupt ec Firmware because of the fact that when the bios Chip is removed and i plug the charger it does exactly the same as with the bios chip and it doesn't read the power button.

I Ordered the Svod 4 with the zif sockets and it will arrive in about one week......

• Hello,

tried the bios works perfectly.
You are correct it worked only on locked bios before maybe the System detects that the entries have changed on some important offsets or else.
Strange...
But thanks it works again!
How do you build a new BIOS?
Like is there a programm for it or what?

• Had tried it now.
Laptop fans run from low to high then shutting off and restarting.
Sometimes it is giving backlight for 5 seconds and shuts off or showing me red, white, black, green screen and shuts off.
Any Idea?...

• SMDFleaSMDFlea does the ram patcher also removes the entrys for the dimm slot in some cases?

• But what did i do wrong?!
I moved the resistors on place, diabled it in bios via ram patcher and desoldered the ram (thought it wouldnt recognize it anymore).
Do i have to move another resistor?...

• Tried it and flashed the bios file... Now the current draw is 900-800milliamps again but still no picture.
I forgot to mention that ive got the Ryzen 3 3200u model. Maybe its a difference between the ryzen 5 and 3.

I found new Symptoms like it wont start or shut down when i press the power button.
It only powers on when i plug the charger.
It charges fine with about 900milliamps and runs over the battery when powered and charger disconected.
After a while the current draw goes down to 600 milliamps.
Voltage on ram module is present.

Nice...

Hello guys,

i have this laptop here that wont display.
First thing i did was checking voltages and all are Present.

After that i tried another ram sticks but they didnt change anything as well.
Then i tried programming the bios with two different bios files but nothing changed (i used the ch341a without the 1.8v Adapter but I was able to read/write the chip).

Now i thought it could be a ram issue.
I flashed a bios with onboard ram disabled (dump attached) and i moved the resistors on the right Place like it's Show in...

• I found a good bios on a discord server but nothing changes when i try it.
What i didn't mention is that the current at some point isnt changing anymore when i let it run for 2-3 mins.
That makes me think maybe the onboard ram is faulty... Is there any way to disable it thenclike removing resistors?...

In this thread (post #3247 and #3248) i found someone with the same issue:

• Lenovo Yoga X380 22LH Supervisor Password removal

Hey guys,

have a laptop here that has a supervisor Password (dump in Attachements).
Before i write the Serial NR.etc i wanted to say that strangely after flashing with 3 different Bios dumps and one from lenovos site
the laptop works but everytime it wants me to type a supervisor password i never set.
I thought the supervisor password is stuck in the ec bios but no it isn't either because after replacing the ec chip from one of another board it still has the supervisor password.
Anyway i wanted to ask what of the two chips is the ec bios because on the left...
